I know absolutely nothing about this kind of thing but a wind up ham radio aerial is in need of a new home

It is currently bolted to the side of a 3 storey house and has a winding mechanism with what looks like 3 sections

Interested?

Does anyone know how likely I would be to get planning permission for such a tower on the IoM?

A friend across ended up with a 3 year battle with his local council for a very similar radio tower. A group of us got together, and got the planning inspectorate from Bristol involved. They found in our favour in the end but it was a lot of expense and hassle.

In any case it's a nice tower, and even looks to still have an antenna at the top too!
