Jonah Effect
I mention the big F in my column and she drops off her perch...spooky stuff. So, we are now on the final cycle of 4 weeks. Cant believe we have come so far, it feels like only yesterday when the bottom dropped out of my world. Now an old hand giving a helping hand to the newbies. Simply frightening how quickly that has happened. One lady of 20 was in a tearful state about her 'line' being blocked and having to have it changed to the other arm, and my child sits down next to her and explains how it happened and how upsetting it was, and not to worry....like Danny and Graham did for us...step back from those thoughts....still raw and ragged round the edges. The doctors in liverpool showed us the x-ray showing where the line goes in - we couldn't have looked at that a few months ago, too squeamish. Hadn't quite passed the initiation stage of this 'club' we got volunteered for. Good news today, the lump has gone down and hopefully by the end of the next 4 weeks we will have zapped that sucker's sorry ass into oblivion with a capital OOOOOOOOO!We had been told to expect mood swings, and to deal with them sympathetically. Thinking of going out and getting a t-shirt that says "..and YOU must be Grumpy!"Someone in the hospital accross mistook my husband for the patient and congratulated him on not loosing his hair! He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry!Probably do both
