Saturday April 18th
It is 10.30 a.m. I have just had a sausage breakfast. The chemotherapy has ganged up and joined forces with the dieticians. Yesterday, mouth ulcers made eating difficult; however, they don’t seem to be too bad today. I have had a sore throat though since my last chemo session, but I have woken up today more or less free of ulcers and the sore throat. It seems all the predicted side effects of chemo have saved themselves for the last couple of sessions. Well, just one more to go now.
My emails are still being blocked to the US. It appears that Manx Telecom has upset the Americans by bombarding them with span messages and so the US has responded by blocking all of Manx.net emails. Hopefully I will resolve this later today by using a different email address. So U.S. blog readers, your peace is almost over. You have had 3 days now of respite from me. Your tranquillity is about to be shattered.
Today we have a stiff north-easterly wind, about force 5 or 6. Young Chris, my boatman was supposed to be bringing a boat back from Ramsey today. However, the trip has been put off until tomorrow, maybe!
I am now trying to get used to my new mobile phone. I had the old one for 5 years before I finally sorted that, so not much hope for the new one. I have just about got this texting lark sorted. Can anyone tell me, what does it mean when someone signs of a text message with btw?
Well, it’s a short blog this morning as I am running late. I have to take Skipper out now and get back in time for football, Arsenal v Reading at lunchtime. There is also bound to be a match on at teatime. Then I must make sure I wake up at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning for the boxing. I also hope to have my boat Silverburn sea wortyh again by teatime. Chris is fitting the new fuel pump as I write.
So, until tomorrow then, this Tom Glassey, News at 10.55., on a diet, floating down the Silverburn.
