  1. This thread is full of so much bullshit disguised as fact that it's opened my eyes to how much bollocks goes on in all the other threads.

Yes I realise how naive I've been but I honestly thought people just had different opinions, not make stuff up.

I think you're right.  There have been several serious injuries though, including 7 major trauma calls on Wednesday alone with 3 off-island transfers.  We've managed to fill the major trauma centre's trauma ITU again, and I know that many of the injuries have been life changing, if not ending.

I don't know whether to say 'well done to all concerned' or 'FFS, isn't it about time this mayhem was canned?'.  Or perhaps both.

A pal of mine was one of your Wednesday transfers, just wanted to say thanks for patching him up.

But a seagull stole his brothers sandwich. What is the point of being an MHK if you can't use your influence to save your brother £2.50 an another prawn sandwich from the Co Op? If we ever needed proof as to why Manx police are so shit this is it.

I'll think you'll find it was a cheese baguette #fakenews

Contract to operate a beer tent goes out to tender when approaching the end of its terms and when current operator, and that is all they are, loses out in the tender process many complain.

Shipping company seeks to renegotiate its contract when end is in site and many of the same people demand it does out to tender.

    Fickle folk aren't we

Need competition on the sea but a monopoly in the air, it seems.

    Or "Oddbins presents..."

This is sounding horribly familiar. Local businessman makes success out of business then is binned off by billionaire tax dodger who makes starstruck idiots out of those in charge. Just look at Cooil Road and Strand Street for other examples.

    I really hoped I'd be wrong. :(

A good afternoon, certainly helped by the weather.

An opportunity for the government to put a few quid in the coffers by opening the villa bars and letting people use the facility before, during and after.

instead they paid security guys to be there and prevent people going in to the building to use the toilets.

    idiots

I couldn't believe this. It's supposed to be a community facility. We own it!

Come on dilli, you must remember Strand Centre had the first up and down escalators on iom

All we  people did was go up and down the escalators when it opened, or ride in the glass lift. Once the novelty wore off there was no reason to visit.

Roy Moore was probably regaling us with "TT history" at the time, recalling the time when Geoff Cannell forgot his notes and everybody laughed.

No, it was all right because he bought a programme and all the information he needed was in there. Makes you wonder why he bothered making notes.
