  1. Douglas East has a mad constituency though. Very disparate. Plus I suspect half the people who live in the flats on the prom don't actually live here.
  2. Have Education and Health not seen huge cuts already? You could have fooled me.

    Top 24

Ooh better yet, top 24 Keys, bottom 12 Legco. Saves all that bother voting them in.

    Top 24

I would like to take the bottom 24, just to see what happens.
  5. This is a great table. Imagine if they just took the top 24 to Keys.
  6. Maybe more people like them when Karran isn't involved.
  7. Let's hope nobody set fire to a pile of votes...
  8. When are we expecting the first results? I don't really want to listen to Manx Radio for longer than necessary.
  9. Thank you for posting this. I didn't go, and I'm glad. Someone clearly got their gas bill and TV licence demand that morning.
  10. True! I can't see me voting for either of them, but you'd think they'd at least put something in the post. It's not like I live in the middle of nowhere, there are hundreds of houses where I am.
  11. It looks as if we all need to thank you again for presenting the manifestos as they become available. Its a great helpAs for Mr Thomas: I know him to be a very bright chap but his communication skills are dreadfully inadequate. I'm afraid his manifesto provides further evidence of that. I would agree with that but I did get through some of it. I'm pleased that instead of just saying "encourage business/spending" like other candidates he has put in practical suggestions as to how we can do things. Meanwhile... Eleven days to go and I've had nothing from Inglis or Corlett. Not even a postcard or leaflet through the door. Not great.
  12. We're a tiny population divided into far too many constituencies. They should make the effort. Although some might wait until the manifesto is out.
  13. The Captain used an online print facility. Guess you get what you pay for.
  14. It was advertised all over, and at least 10,000 people did manage to find it so I am not sure what more they could do I've been thinking about this recently. I barely ever read the paper or listen to local radio any more, and I bet I'm not the only one. So how do people with events to advertise reach people like me? I would probably notice a text message. Facebook news feed is really flaky, I often get the posts after the event. Maybe billboards are the answer?
  15. You knew more than me, I didn't even know it was on. Or what it was.

Who delivers all the bedside stuff? This person: http://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/isle-of-man-news/service-with-a-smile-finalists-1-8075432
  17. When is the deadline for nominations? I'm not sure I can take any more excitement.
  18. I don't know. Do you think many people fake autism? Or do you think doctors just make it up in order sound clever? You seem to be an expert so I thought I would just ask. I'm sure the expert Llap would reply anyone who has been through this process knows how long it takes and how complicated the road to an official diagnosis is, if you ever get there.
  19. Chernobyl's children left behind thanks to Easyjet: http://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/friends-of-chernobyls-children-left-in-the-lurch/
  20. I'm fairly sure that the stamp in my passport doesn't say "Loves Manx Radio". Please don't use this as an argument, you make us sound like a bunch of narrers.
