  1. The Trump sketches have been outstanding imo (Mike Pence explaining the middle east conflict.). Jared Kushner (head falling off) makes me laugh out loud each time
  2. You should definitely follow QAnon, there's a veritable goldmine of "knowledge" and "proof" on there for pliable people to get stuck into and spread..... The simple fact is that there has been no fraud, no grand deception, and no global conspiracy. One minute Biden is being labelled a dribbling idiot, the next moment he is the criminal mastermind behind rigging the largest, most complex election in US history. Biden won by a landslide, and the election was not a referendum on the GOP, but on Trump himself. Hence why red senators kept their seats, yet people voted against Trump. Even
  3. "Goldie" was in town a few months back in the middle of the street (surrounded by people walking by with their children etc) saying to someone on the phone super loudly, that he wanted his "f**king money" or he was going to "kill her dog" along with other gems. Crackers - You wouldn't believe how loud he was either, did not care in the slightest he was in a public place etc. Imagine what the children must have thought, potentially very frightening to them Nutcase certainly, not a harmless, lovable rogue as TV would make him out.
  4. It literally takes me five minutes to walk into the garage, write down the gas number, walk back upstairs and enter that info onto the manx gas site. I always get the correct bill emailed in the next few days. Not sure what the problem is here?
  5. Anyone else find that listening to Paul Moulton from MT is like having your ears drilled. He's simply awful!! If you're a journalist interviewing people, surely the job requirements are to be able to speak clearly, be understood and not waffle / feign being irate
  6. I know people who genuinely believe that this 5G stuff is causing coronavirus. I am just lost for words at the stupidity of people. Treating that David Icke interview as gospel. Stunningly thick.
  7. Honestly, i was considering writing to someone in Gov about it, but to be honest would take weeks for a generic, uncaring reply
  8. Probably mentioned previously by someone, but i was absolutely flabbergasted that they made the announcement about extra staff being put on at the crematorium. What a thing to send out! Surely someones head must roll over that? What would pensioners think reading that announcement!!!!
  9. I noticed that up until recently they were offering the services based on speed 100,200,500 etc However, there is now no mention of speed, and merely essential, fast, ultrafast, superfast, megafast and lightning fast What has changed, and why is this now no longer mentioned? Are they struggling to guarantee the speeds? How are you supposed to know what speed you will get?
  10. Hey, So i don't use their supplied router, i have a Draytek 130 VDSL modem which connects to the USG (i actually have a USG-Pro now) Works great. Would love to see Fibre in Onchan though, but not going to hold my breath! Oh sorry just to add, you add the PPPoE credentials in the WAN section of the network tab in settings on the USG, i dont think it needs doing on the modem, but my setup may differ from yours!
  11. Thanks John! I'll get some more local quotes and see if they will be reasonable... Dreading the cost of a local assessor...!
  12. I have made a claim for water damage at my property (not flood related!), and the loss adjuster (who was a nice chap but appointed by and working for the insurance company) has been around and after an extensive investigation and meticulous cost analysis (or schedule as he called it...) on his tablet program, has made an estimate for repair which is far below local quotes i have obtained for the work to be completed. As i just want the work completed, am i entitled to ask the insurance company to arrange the repairs themselves? If they believe fixing it will only cost £3000, and i can n
  13. Looking to have a new ensuite bathroom fitted after the shower leaked into our lounge, so hoping for a recommendation for someone who can come up and quote for everything I would like cement board / kerdi board around the shower, not plasterboard, and i need the tiled floor pulling up and chipboard removing too. Looking at a new shower tray, glass, tiling etc This is going through insurance, so need the quote asap, and ideally the work completing well before xmas thanks
  14. I've tried speaking to MT about this, and they just say they are "2 years into a 5 year plan" Does anyone have any inside knowledge, about timescales for certain areas? I'm up in Onchan, and can only get the 100Mbps VDSL service, so very keen for fibre I completed the fibre expression of interest webform, and also went to every house in the neighbourhood and encouraged neighbours to do the same, which many did (and were quite happy about as they know nothing about it!)
  15. I am unfortunately dealing with Sedgwick (formerly Cunningham Lindsey) They have an atrocious reputation, so crossing my fingers for a successful resolution. It's not a huge claim by any means!
  16. In the process of an insurance claim on the house, and considering covering myself by hiring a loss assessor, as i know the current loss adjuster will be working on the side of the insurance company to ultimately minimise the payout, and consequently maybe affect the quality of the repair work thanks
  17. I honestly don't believe people really think this flat earth thing is real. From watching the netflix documentary, you can see that Mark Sargent didn't really believe it either, but he's created a form of celebrity for himself which he obviously enjoys. I just don't see the average intelligence person believing the earth is flat. You would quite literally need to be stupid.
  18. Not sure, i think the vectoring / profile changes only started once MT wanted to upgrade ready for the new 200Mb internet that will be offered. I don't think this was a year ago, but no way of knowing for sure when they started getting the ball rolling
  19. Hmm, maybe it depends on the Fritz model, as there have been a few i think? Personally i stick with Draytek, as although they are quite expensive, they are rock solid and you can do a ton with them. A bit complicated for the non technical though, but other than that the newer Netgear Nighthawks seem to get decent reviews, and i would imagine have up to date firmwares that support vectoring
  20. The disconnections are most likely due to Telecom switching your line to Vectoring enabled. Tons of fritzboxes simply don't work with it and drop off all the time, which is why MT are moving customers onto those cheap Technicolor routers, which do seem to work. I don't think they are a particularly "feature rich" product, but will do the job. Too many people have had this exact issue. What's crazy is the Telecom engineers themselves will tell you that the guys in charge know full well what the problems are (basically what they have caused!), yet still insist on having engineers visit s
  21. I found out from an MT engineer that Vectoring was enabled on my line. This is my router Joey
  22. With regards to the 4G stuff, my boss was getting around 28Mb on his WiManx connection, and said it was sometimes dropping down to below 9 in the evenings. He has four kids, each with Xbox One or PC, and then you add in Netflix etc. He's had the 4G router for a couple of weeks and said he has been absolutely blown away by how good it is. Says averages around 35 down and 10 up. All for a good value £25 a month. Truly unlimited too, as he stressed to them about how much bandwidth his kids use and said there couldn't be any limits
