100 or so questions down for answers, some absolute crackers, my favourite is this one from Moorhouse

    1. How responsive the Department is to recommendations on safety in relation to exposure to the sun in the Island’s schools?

Is this the last Tynwald before the recess? I think it is a tradition now to ask loads of questions in an attempt to look as though they are doing something.

Spewin Juan has been all over Facebook in the last week with stuff even claiming his question may have led to the railways reopening.

I would say the line now being passable at Groudle and the arrival of some Guernsey people probably had more to do with it.

How long do you need to hang Geoffrey Boots for to get the best from the meat?

Best cooked on a barbecue in the middle of a field during a drought. Ideally just after a government warning not to have such barbecues.

Another issue is that the public also want the sub post offices kept open around the island and these have to be paid for . Therefore it’s not just a question of keeping posties employed on good terms. The post office has to make enough money to cover costs of everything which mayvbe impossible without any changes or possible subventions.

so public has to decide what it’s priorities are.

Do the public want to keep the sub post offices open or is it just a group of shouty baby boomers who do.

Haven't heard a word said about them since Ballasalla and St Johns closed.

how does more debris know not to go around the sides like the water is supposed to do once there is a bit of debris pole dancing?

I expect due to lack of maintenance the debris will build up and form a dam which will then burst suddenly in a storm causing worse flooding than before.

I had heard on the grapevine that someone came back through PTS in last few days has tested positive. No wonder they said 'no stats till Tuesday', if it transpires to be fact. I assume the contact tracing team are doing their bit, which again - if it does prove to be fact - that it would lead to an increase in tests.

No new cases today so I suspect this rumour came from the breakdown issued last week showing where the 336 cases came from including coincidentally one from patient transfer.

Colby Glen opening on Wednesday 8th July.

    Good it is reopening.

Shame it still appears to be the brewery opening it. Got my hopes up when I heard the rumours it had been sold.

  8. Id love one of them (or an MHK for that matter) to ask why a car park has reopened on the Lord Street site and what the developers future plans are.

Shame really.  Seems a waste when there are decent numbers of people fairly close by.

I live about 50 yards away and have probably been in three times in the last two years.

I would rather go to The Shore where the food is......well......nice.

I've read elsewhere, that the Police have made them cone off that lane, because the new layout pushed traffic in it towards the wrong side of the mini roundabout, thus setting off a potential head-on collision.

I assume there's currently a stand-off, while they try to find a solution that doesn't make the DoI look like total pricks.

The 'solution' is that as of Thursday morning vehicles coming from St Ninians won't be able to turn right at the roundabout and head down Victoria Road.

Instead they will have to go through the dip do a 180 at the second roundabout and go left down Victoria Road.

Great stuff all round. Well done DoI
