  1. Can't blame someone for trying though - seriously good luck!
  2. And what point are you trying to make ?
  3. Unfortunately I was only able to make it from 7PM onwards yesterday but under the circumstances was mightily impressed. A huge thanks to ALL involved and great too that all proceeds were towards a very worthy charity. One final thing - Davy was electric!
  4. It isn't in the highway code that you turn the engine on before you drive but everyone does. You are clearly a fool and shouldn't be on the road. If you don't indicate while driving around something its dangerous, the car behind might try to overtake you as you start, or the person behind might drive into whatever you are moving out to avoid. Notice to Admins, track the guys IP call police and have them remove his license. I agree. What a numpty. This person's own point 5 completely contradicts their statement "indication signals are reserved for turning and when overtaking moving vehi
  5. Hi Larna, Can we pay on the gate and can we take our own booze ? Thanks.
  6. Hi. Is this item sold or not, if not what height is the bed at ? Thanks.
  7. Well said sir, I am relatively new to this forum, but if there is one person that has already stood out as being only too easy to wind up and do more harm than good for his 'cause' it is MDO. My only take on this is that I was at the fair this afternoon and I did witness a few dogs 'out and about' but all thankfully seemed well tended by their owners. In my opinion, it's the owners and not the dogs, unfortunately, one is usually (not always) rather a reflection of the other.
  8. Not definitive of course, but I thought it was a van that 'laid' the 'slick' and was then left parked outside the Police hq..........
  9. "We struggled to find contractors that were able to do or were willing to do it. We were surprised at that. I’ve no idea at the reason for that." Director of Harbours Captain Michael Brew regarding work on Ramsey Pier. Similar thing iro work on the runway extension I think (not sure ?) I AM NOT being sarcastic, this is a genuine question, but does the construction industry need the Government to sanction capital projects to keep them enough work ?
  10. Link to almost every registration that's available :-) http://www.gov.im/lib/docs/post/cherishednumbers0202101.pdf
  11. Interesting point regarding whether the OFT consider the differential on the basis of percentages. If so then a difference of potentially almost 6p might be acceptable to them - fair point, but even IF based on their in depth investigation (LOL) this is the case we are still being OVERCHARGED! As for bandwidth and running with this, I think it is worth it and to continue to highlight that we are not being served by the OFT and further ripped off by the petrol company(ies) is NOT to lie down as we do all too often. The more quarter given the more they are likely to take! The undeniable fact i

  13. I thought the OFT's considered view was that 4p above UK average was fair NOT more than double that. So based on their own previous findings, they should be acting! However, if you think it's fair - good for you, as it obviously ISN'T! There is no logic to your evidence in the defence of this difference being ONLY 6% or £5.00 per tank or we do small mileages. We are still being ripped off! The prices should have come down a week ago when they did across the UK - WHY NOT HERE? We aren't doing anything and OFT would look silly doing anything because it is only 8p difference, less
  14. Well said EORH. IF the OFT did it's job we wouldn't be expressing this conjecture or these suggestions. Simple Facts: Av Price on the Island Unleaded = 144.9 Diesel = 149.9 Av Price for UK Unleaded = 136.82 Diesel = 141.26 WHY aren't the OFT doing anything ? WHY aren't WE doing anything ?
  15. Fair comment, it probably defies most 'taught' driving mannerisms to undertake. Thus an indication (even for the sake of the Manx populace) that to undertake is permitted (even preferred/encouraged) would make some sense. As regards a seperate lane representing the horse trams 'own space', almost certainly impossible unfortunately. If it could be done, maybe we could finally have resurfaced Prom lanes as they are the most uneven, patchworked rutted tracks anywhere.
  16. WHY, JUST WHY ? It would make even more sense to line them up on the beach and take them out with shotguns and them sell them for dog meat. Less congestion, less horse shit, less time sat in the car going home.
  17. I don't have to use the Prom to get home from work, but I think this makes a lot of sense. There is some truth in what Gazza says too, but it doesn't alter the fact that larger vehicles (i.e. those that actually are the width too many drivers think their Astra and Focus are) do barely get the chance to under/overtake for the majority of the Prom.
  18. People might not treat you like an idiot, if you could spell and use correct grammar/punctuation! im sure Tesco will build a terminal here on island to store the fuel at hundreds of million of £ cost to them to sell fuel at a loss just to keep you happy lol so if thats not the case, then why o why did they build the tanks at tescos, just for the fun of it. and have you forgotten that total isle of man is up for sale. would not surprise me if they buy it, that way they have everything set up and the govenment cant do a thing about it. there not worth billions because
  19. TESCO already have the underground fuel tanks in place in the 1st carpart at the front from when the store was built in 1999 for the Co-Op. Doesn't help us with the ripoff prices at the moment or for the forseeable future.
  20. 7-8p a litre more expensive than the cheapest garages in the UK, WTF is the problem, now move along there is nothing to see here. If that were the case fine. However, our prices are 7-8p a litre more expensive than the UK AVERAGE not the cheapest!
