Thank You Gladys. No doubt they won't be calling you a liar though..
  2. The Mountain webcam would hardly tell you if the roads are open would it? It is not difficult to have a link on local radio websites etc. that simply states "ROADS OPEN" / "ROADS CLOSED" and automatically updated from Grandstand. As it is however, the radio stations want you to listen to their station, and unfortunately that is the only way.

Absolutely so. However, as is typical, I make a comment (in this case about Dominos) and it gets twisted and attacked because of religious belief. Having defended that position, I can happily delete comments - and others can do the same.

Still obsessing about learner drivers? Good to see you've taken a moment out from the KKK movement and your hatred of blacks. Says you who goes to a church who does not accept homo's. I see ignorance is still prevalent on the forum... We accept homo's. Still, that hardly compares with a hatred of black people though does it?

You must be lying because ... you made up some totally ridiculous hypothetical situation that does not exist to justify a load of toss that you posted thinking that you were clever. That's why. Right... your argument is, because the place wasn't commercially open.. it was IMPOSSIBLE that there could have been a Dominos pizza box along the road outside Dominos. That is totally ridiculous.

Impossible?? A couple of days before it opened... would they not have had the Dominos boxes in stock? Do you think it is impossible for a staff member who would have been in training etc to have had a pizza in one of the boxes and to have dropped it? Is it impossible for one of the boxes (even if unused) to have blown up the road, perhaps from the stock pile they had? Impossible? get real. It wasn't open commercially... but that doesn't mean they didn't make any pizzas or have any boxes before it was opened.

Absolutely true. I saw the litter along the road just up from the Dominos take away.
  8. How can I find out if the roads have reopened? Radio websites are not updated frequently enough, and neither is iomtt.com I'm killing my ears listening to radio... ugh. been 30 mins... no updates.

There was Dominos litter before the place even opened.... !
  10. UK was terrible... but Germany's effort was pretty bad too. Think I prefered Iceland's ! That german girl just talked the whole way through hers...

Was thinking the same thing tonight. One of those cars parked directly next to the zebra crossing (and on the white zig zags) was one of the delivery guys. He came out, out his pizza's in the back and drove off. Add to that the many other cars parked along the road there (on zigzags)... how long will this go on for? Can't be hard for a policeman to intervene while he picks up the squads orders for the day. It looks to be the same as Home Run. Delivery boys will just park anywhere and anyhow around the takeaway (and therefore along the zebra crossing). Authorities must have foreseen these problems when they accepted the planning application...??

I think I'm going to ignore the criticism's for now. After all, I wouldn't know how many are coming from owners/friends of rival pizza takeaway's...
  14. Dont listen to him Dan, he is trying to wind you up. haha I've already said all I'm saying. Over and out.
  15. Honestly, it's hard to explain - but as I say, that issue is now beside the point.
  16. Seems like a resonable request, we ( well those that have nothing better to do) could give it a spin next time we are there and then we can see what you are on about. Spill the beans Dan. If I name the road, will you also know where the vehicle was intially parked, and where it then did the emergency stop? Without that, there would be nothing to test. All this is now irrelevant anyway. I believe the topic has ended.
  17. Yes, I can tell you love to watch that kinda thing. - and join in I'm sure.
  18. You don't think your posts have been insulting the IOM Examiners? Muppet. Love to see that you still follow this thread Mr Sausages.
  19. Why do you think you know anything about my wife? 22 Posts... and about 90% in response to me. Are you my wife? haha! As it happens, I do know someone else who is taking a test this month.. so I'll look forward to hearing about that one. Hopefully she will pass! Will be her first attempt mind you. But as I say, for anyone reading this who is in a similar situation, at least it has been suggested that appealing a decision may get you a free re-test. That is, if you don't think appealing will compromise the examiners decision on your next test haha.
  20. This is hopefully good advice to anyone in a similar situation then who reads this topic. Good luck on getting a free retest. The unfortunate thing however is the candidate will still end up having to pay about £50 as most do. £25 for the use of ther instructor's car, and £25 for a lesson/practice prior to the test. All in all, a failure (right or wrong) is still very expensive for the candidate. However, the free retest will at least save you about £25 (i believe that is the cost of drving test...?).
  21. Because for the first time since then I was driving down that road with my mate. I wouldn't have brought it up before he passed just in case he was to be treated any differently. After testing it, I was so appalled at the claims - having seen for myself that it is a ridiculous assertion - that I raised the topic. Aside from the frustration of that incident, the topic was to raise the issue that I believe the examiner decisions should be able to be verified - through use of technology. This point has been raised, and discussion has been had on the subject - for and against. I find the topic to have achieved its purpose.
  22. Just a final point... would the 'IOM Examiners' like to explain how the appeal process works? - how you can actually verify whether the candidate is right if he says he wasn't speeding? How does he prove the examiner was wrong? That I am interested in!
  23. Sounds like you were the one who created the IOM Examiners account... nice try.
