  1. I see they're still advertising drop in sign on sessions for marshalls, I was under the impression (from reading press/social media over the past few months) we had more than enough?

  2. Someone at the DoI is a Field of Dreams fan, “Built it and they will come”! Or from the contractor, “Pay me to build it and I will cum”!

The 40 signs are not near the garage they are at the top of the little hill just before the turn off to Orrisdale?

There’s a sign on the left as you leave the village immediately before the garage that says 30 on both sides.

The signs are the same in both directions, 40 coming into Rhencullen and 40 after the garage as you go up the little hill toward Rhencullen. As it has been as long as I can remember.

Is there any wonder there are so may crashes here when drivers seem to pack the power of sight?

It’s still posted as 30 on the sign before the garage forecourt  as you leave the village, so it’s 30 past there if you leave the village, but 40 from the other direction.

  5. I wider why they have increased the limit as you enter Kirk Michael from Rhencullen from 30 to 40, it then goes down to 30 after the filling station. Me thinks someone may have ****** up?

All going to be paved/tarmac over soon. Confirmation of no trams this year should follow soon.

Given the diligence, foresight and good management of the DoI, I find that absolutely no b****y surprise whatsoever, but I think the Minister might!

Luke Parker from Ramsey Commissioners on the radio in the past couple of days saying that the Commissioners can't do anything to support businesses in the Town as they don't have the wherewithal.

Could they not look at Business Rates and see if there's any wriggle room, Parliament St is going to be empty at this rate?

They may have to increase the number of town hall staff in order to do that, and maybe another deputy clerk🤔

if thats the case why are your bye law officers and the police doing something about it ,  after all someone in council   spent a fortune on CCTV   which was also to prevent dog fouling  and litter     ,   no public toilets  then no case to answer , the town is  disgrace , lets get some civic pride back again ! start behaving like a responsible local authority ,

That's correct in the new UK highway code. I don't think the IOM has adopted it yet, but that's irrelevant to the fact in this context.

Just to be pedantic, it in the Manx one too, available the Gov website image.thumb.png.51e1008563725052fc61364519b9c57e.png

I think, strictly speaking, you can cross a dotted white line for any reason. You just have to give way to oncoming traffic. You can only cross a solid white line to pass other traffic that is going at less than 18mph.

Therefore, in the eyes of the law, if you cross a solid white line just to take the best line though a corner, regardless of whether it's one way or not, you commit an offence.

A blind eye is turned of course, for TT.

It’s 10 mph or less now to be able to pass them by crossing a solid white line. Has beeb for a while I believe.

What is the rush to vaccinate kids?  How many children have been hospitalised or suffered long term affects of covid?

They could bring it home though, would the jab not help prevent them catching it?

On Friday morning I was listening to MR and a list of road closures was read out.  Unbelievable….and now from Tuesday the Mountain road is closed for six weeks, how many teams have the DOI got, they are everywhere .   With so many workers at their disposal perhaps they should have tackled the promenade they could not have made a worse job and probably they would have made a better one.

0900 on Monday is when it closes.
