How does it do that then?

I'm no fan of the CDC, not one little bit, they're crackers. However, I will use their thing as an example. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/vaccineeffect.htm In this link it talks about the benefits of a flu vaccine. You will note that the benefits talked about are backed up with references. Then there is this bit "Getting vaccinated may also protect people around you". May. This bit is not backed up with a reference. Can anyone think of a reason for that?

(Also worth noting that the covid vaccines are substantially more effective than the flu ones at preventing severe illness.)

Maybe there is no evidence/proof, but I’d be unhappy sharing a queue/bus/lift with someone with the onset of flu.

Wrighty will correct me but you are wrong.  Every year 1000s of people get hospitalised and die with the common flu. A simple jab will reduce the chance of you being one of them is sensible.

    Or spreading it.

  3. Has anyone else had the Ramsey Group Practice newsletter through their door? Looks to have been written my managers and people who don’t appreciate that a lot of our older residents will be left confused/frustrated. Just my take on it, but I’m very happy to be proven wrong.

I’m assuming they will close on the day of the funeral? It’s very likely that the funeral will be a bank holiday.

I just can’t understand the logic behind this announcement. Are other eating establishments closing and places of entertainment? Government Offices closing?

My guess would be, they’re shutting tomorrow so they can stay open on the day of the funeral, and try and cash in?

  6. One thing that strikes me, for what it’s worth, is the opposition by a very vocal part of the island’s population, to nuclear power stations, and (understandably to some extent), the Sellafield reprocessing plant. But we are happy to sail to Heysham and get on and off the boat within I short distance of a nuclear power station. Just a thought 🤔

And if he did have a weapon in his knickers that he got rid of, as cissolt says, why keep the drugs?

Or maybe he was being truthful about the bit of his anatomy he made reference to (as in the OP).

It's well known that teenage boys often have problems with inappropriate/inconvenient... er... hard objects in their "crotch area".

It was probably the thought of being put in handcuffs, works for me every time😗

Great news. It's better to have one fully staffed ED centrally accesible to all residents than half and half.

The Ramsey Unit was a nonsense.

Given the area covered by RDCH it deserves greater investment to cater for this half of the island so we’re not reliant on one facility, especially given the recent pandemics the could potentially result in the scaling down and accessibility to Nobles.

Daphne doesn’t actually seem to do anything though. She wafts round in her silly electric car telling people she’s more virtuous than them and they shouldn’t burn fossil fuels and posts pictures of goats and waterfalls on Twitter. That seems to be the sum extent of her interaction with the public. She’s reached that part of her political career that it doesn’t seem to be about her actually doing anything as she thinks she’s an established MHK.

Does anyone know if her car is charged via solar power, or is it another pseudo electric car powered by gas?
