    Just understable English would do
  2. Confusious or confused not sure which
  3. The ploy of getting woman in because they would be more pliable did not work, apart from Poole Wilson they are crap.
  4. Two questions for the wise, how does one get to see their medical records and how do you ask for a second opinion?
  5. This is how the race card is played no one will dare criticise.
  6. He probably is unaware
  7. Good morning all, I am listening to the great George Ferguson on Manx Radio, do not ask why I blame it on the wind....he has just been lamenting that his knowledge of Manx expressions is wanting and followed up with perhaps he should ask Brian Stowell......really....
  8. A lot of cynical people about, surely most people have had circumstances beyond their control mess up their plans and made them change direction.
  9. I have said this early on in this topic, personal things can overtake you in life and living on an Island is not for everyone.
  10. That is what I thought, I was quite supportive of the teachers claim until I heard about the factoring in part of it leaving that out they seem to be getting the same package as across and I know that all our children are not little darlings but I bet there are far more challenging areas to teach in. Apologies again for starting another topic similar to one that is ongoing but I can now see the other side of the argument.
  11. It was mentioned on MR , Mannin Line, that factoring in the cost of living was the way forward in pay claims, I just wondered in any people employed on the Island by an off Island employer enjoyed this practice. I bet Tesco workers don’t. This was mentioned in the Mexican stand off between Mr Cregeen and the teachers who get the same money as their counterparts across but want more because of the factoring in procedure. I know there is a topic already regarding this dispute but it is the factoring in aspect I was wondering about, it used to be when you got a move to London you got a few quid extra because of high living costs, rents in particular but have never heard of it regarding our Island. Anyone receiving it on the forum ?

  13. It is still Michael Mouse Hospital Radio plus adverts.
  14. Albert do you mean the people or the cars ?
  15. Well they could not do much worse than the lot in at present.
  16. They need to pay good money and get some decent consultants the difference in the attitude of the ones in Noble’s who are so negative and the ones you meet when you go to hospitals away and give you hope and are encouraging and are so much superior in every way is an eye opener.
  17. I think Derek talks a lot of sense but he is absolutely wrong about people not being really disgusted by this inept government, people who never voiced an opinion before are really having a severe lack of confidence in the present government. I do not blame Howard Quayle for this he does not get to choose his team he has to make do with some of the beauty’s that the general public have inflicted on him. There are the grandstanders......hopefully they will be one termers, the wafflers that really think the public are thick as s..t hopefully we will see the last of them and the ones that always oppose everything for no good reason....bye bye you will not be missed. So do not forget folks before they tell you what they are going to do...ask them what they have done.
  18. Waffle and more waffle...what are you doing about the pension pot that is growing at a ridiculous rate of knots, possibly the biggest ponzi scheme known to man, what are you doing about social housing shortage implementing a rigorous oversee of just who should be entitled to live in one i.e means testing these are just some of the stuff getting kicked into the long grass. Hopefully we will get politicians brave enough to tackle our real problems when the election happens.
  19. The new idea which I personally think is great, perhaps because I am not a negative kind of person, has now been aired on television together with some great view of the Isle. This kind of publicity would cost loads and it was a good idea. Negativity is the Islands biggest problem.
  20. To pick up on a particular point made I totally believe, speaking to the man in the street, and a few ladies, the general feeling is a complete lack of confidence in this government in their energy to get their teeth into anything faintly controversial. All they are interested in is marking time until the next election and the public are going to be asking the candidates who have served in this parliament just what they have achieved in their term of office, the honest reply would be not a lot we have been too busy waffling and justifying ourselves.
  21. If the practices get paid so much for each patient registered to them perhaps the doctors do not want or cannot afford to get an extra GP on board there must be costs in running the practices, receptionists etc. do the nurses get paid out of the practice money , how does it all work ? The practice I go to seems to have just two doctors on at any one time and a waiting time of approximately 14 days for a non urgent appointment. I preferred the old days when you went to the surgery and took your chance you may have had to wait for a while but you got to see the doctor and the conversations in the waiting room were always illuminating, the chairs were always hard bentwood ones. Happy days, even with appointments there is generally a wait.
  22. Brexit is the best thing that has happened since we joined the cursed union. When Macron gets dumped and Le Penn takes over France will be the next to leave and there will be a few countries that are not toeing the Imperial line will get chucked out. We are the first but we will not be the last.
  23. If they just let their paperwork amass I do not think that will cause any problems as when they finish their go slow or limited duties they will return to a pile of undone work, just like self employed people do when they take a holiday they then play catch up for ages.
