  1. The French? I know they are cheese eating surrender monkeys but have some compassion! no way, they are vichy collaberators through and through, they could'nt fight their way out of a paper bag. I haven't posted for a long time - but this shit sickened me. France has been prepared to defy the extremists; to make laws that the cowards in Westminster would not dare to consider. They have paid a price for allowing a freedom of speech that no one in the UK has the guts to use. As for calling them the names you two have - it is easy when you are able to stand aside and watch - or even easier when you allow your allies and friends to take all the pain. The British tradition may not be to surrender - but it certainally is to abandon the battle field and to retreat and leave others to suffer the losses.

  3. I'm disappointed that you got into a religious argument rather than turning it back onto the important matter - the disgusting way that many men still think about and treat women. Skype 4445453122268 and regards from PC in east
  4. You just don’t understand what I was saying, do you, Mr Jefferson? Either that or you’re deliberately trying to derail it because you’d rather find a way to condemn people of a different religion to you than actually address the problem of women being raped, abused and murdered by men of EVERY - FUCKING - STUPID - RELIGION! You narrowed the focus onto one of the examples I gave simply because it involved Muslims. Are you trying to tell me the Hindus who raped and hanged girls, or the Russian Orthodox politician who told his aides to ‘brutally rape’ someone, did so because Muhammad married a 9-year-old? You think things are somehow ‘different’ among Jewish people? Do you recall the quote from Judge Nissim Yeshaya of the District Court in Tel Aviv that “Some girls enjoy being raped?” That was less than a year ago – and one thing that emerged from it was that Crisis Centres in Israel receive more than 40,000 calls from women reporting sexual assault each year. Can you get that in your head? Forty-fucking-thousand sexual assaults in what is supposed to be a civilised and religious country!!! Did you not hear about the gang rape of a 12-year-old girl in Tel Aviv? It wasn’t those pesky Muslims. It was ‘nice’ Israeli boys. The last I heard, arrests numbers were in double figures! And I’m not, before you say anything, trying to ‘pick on’ Israel or Judaism or anything else. What I’m pointing out is that virtually EACH AND EVERY RELIGION that has existed over the past millennia has encouraged the view that men were entitled to dominate, use and abuse women. The only difference has been the degree to which it was/is made apparent. The evil is not simply Islamic or Jewish, Catholic, Hindu or whatever. It is universal. It is something that may well be innate; a part of the male psyche or something. I wouldn’t know about that. What I do know is that EVERY RELIGION, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, reinforces it; either by exclusion of women from the priesthood or decision-making processes, or by referring to the myths and legends of ignorant people from the past as unassailable truths. No matter how much people pay their lip-service to equality, it will never come about completely until it is realised that there is no ‘higher power’ (masculine, of course) making the rules we all have to live by. Religion, every religion, represents the greatest force for evil on our planet and until it is erased there can never be any kind of true equality.
  5. Oh dear – poor Woolley; afraid of being thought homophobic, and afraid of being thought homosexual! (Sorry, I should not make fun of you) LDV is right, of course. Marriage is becoming less and less important to the point where it is little more than a word – another way of saying ‘civil partnership.’ It is no more than a diversion for those who want to see real progress towards equality. ‘Newsnight’ also makes some excellent points; if we can overcome prejudice and have genuine equality it will be an enormous step forward for the fragile thing we call civilisation. I do not understand the desire for being restricted to one partner, but I respect those who do. For me, any commitment to a long-term relationship, whether same or mixed sex, means that those involved in it are out of bounds. No matter how much I may desire someone, if they are involved in such a partnership – and I don’t care what word they use to describe it – I will keep my distance and so should others.
  6. It is disappointing to see so many people – envious, perhaps? – being upset by this. The people who attend are just the same kind of mixture you find anywhere – except that they are richer and have some political power. There are clever people, and surprisingly naïve ones; some who are fun and some dull, some who are caring, some arrogant. They are people who are going to influence what will be happening in many parts of our world and I would rather they agreed on trying to find a common purpose than arguing. I will not deny that much of what they discuss is to promote their own business or their own nations or organisations, but I can say for certain that there is no ‘evil conspiracy’ to be found there. Why do they not publish their discussions? Well, why does Roy Hogson not tell everyone what his team and their tactics will be in their next match? Why, when the directors of a company have met and discussed it, do they not publish the details of their future sales strategys? I know there are those who see it all as a conspiracy but it really is not – sometimes it is about keeping one step ahead of rivals, and nothing more than that.
  7. I don't get a chance to enjoy the entertainment on here very often, but I had to respond to this one. I do not claim to be the shrill voice of the western metropolitan feminists. I do not think my voice is shrill and I do not think I am metropolitan. I am a feminist – but if I wanted to condemn every example of women being mistreated, abused, beaten, raped and murdered, I would not have time for much else. I would talk about the 5-year old girl raped and murdered in Ahmedabad last week. Or I would write about the two teenage girls raped and hung from a mango tree in Uttar Pradesh a fortnight or so earlier. I would want to know why a leading Russian politician who called a pregnant journalist a lesbian and a nymphomaniac and told his aides to “rape her violently” will only be banished from parliament for 3 months. Google Vladimir Zhironovsky I would like to know why, when a lovely 18-year old was raped, strangled, left for dead and her body set on fire - spending 10 hours calling for help with her body slowly burning – and who died after being treated for her injuries, how those who committed the crime were set free because they were ‘well-connected’ in Ukraine. And why, even when they were charged, nearly two-thirds of the population think she was partly to blame. If you want to know about it, google ‘Oksana Makar’ – but you will need a strong stomach if it takes you to the video that shows her injuries. So, you want to know about Muslims? Okay, I’ll tell you. Try this item from BBC News: Mecca Saudi Arabia's religious police stopped schoolgirls from leaving a blazing building because they were not wearing correct Islamic dress, according to Saudi newspapers. About 800 girls were inside the school in the holy city of Mecca when the tragedy occurred. One witness said he saw three policemen "beating young girls to prevent them from leaving the school because they were not wearing abhaya and veil. A large number of girls were burnt alive while their relatives watched helplessly from outside." Were the policemen punished? No, those guards will inshallah (God willing) get Jannah (paradise) for steadfastly upholding Allah’s laws. Can anyone do anything about it? No – because Saudi-fucking-Arabia is a rich and powerful ally and customer of the West. You want to complain about feminists not making their views known? Try complaining about the whole ethos of the so-called free west that is willing to turn a blind eye to things like this because big money is involved. My view? I’d set those so-called policemen alight and watch them burn. And if you think those are just the words of some Internet warrior – okay, think what you like; but I’ve had to watch so many innocent people die in the last few months that I don’t think I would have any problem killing them.
  8. Ouch! Notice to self: When in you’re in the most boring f***ing place you’ve ever seen (i.e. Murmansk); where the only ‘tourist attraction’ is an enormous concrete statue and where the nightlife is... well... ‘different,’ it is not advisable to go for a night out with a group of ‘new friends’ to a party in a big garage on the outskirts of the city. It is even more definitely not a good idea to forego the branded vodka in favour of some kind of fruit-flavoured, homemade brandy! It is definitely not advisable to get into an argument about gay rights with an off-duty policeman, nor is it a good idea to chat up another girl and dance very closely to her while he watches and calls you unpleasant names. It is not sensible to walk home - about 2 km - when the temperature’s well below freezing. It is also pretty dumb to click on to a forum at about half-past six in the morning when you’re tired, more than half-pissed, irritated and cold and give an opinion on using weapons! Hopefully I’m sorted now because I have some very important meetings today in Kandalaksha and then, thank god, it’s back to St Petersburg and civilisation! But with plenty more to do, I probably won’t be posting again for a few weeks at least! On the subject of burglars – if you ever do confront one, remember that your home is packed with weapons, from kitchen knives, pots, pans to shoes, all kinds of sprays – a host of things. Just don’t hold back – go in wholeheartedly and, above all, yell/scream/roar as you do so. You wouldn’t believe how much that can scare someone and give you an edge! With a gun? Shoot low. Incapacitate and probably end a burglary career without a manslaughter charge. 5:30 time to go - 3hours to the back of beyond!
  9. Yeh yeh – all the big, hard men who think they’d be Swarzenneger or willis if only they had a gun! What a load of utter bollox! The countries where people are able to get guns are thet ones where no one seems to know how to use them! America? Full of shitheads who think a guns the answer to every problem. Trouble is, once they press the trigger they cant take it off again until the mags empty. And god help ANYONE whos standing nearby! My work is high risk. Fair enough – no complaints. I’ve got 4 marks casused by bullets (exaggeration – 1 is barely a nick but it left a scar) 3 from the USA 1 from Czech rep – both places where you can carry conceled weapons. What a coincidence! Good 12 months though, I’ve only been fired at once – in Honduras where it’s easy to get a gun (I was carrying a Z-88 pistol but I didn’t even get a chance to use it). No on got hurt. Lucky. If you think you need a weapon to protect yourself in the IoM you’re dreaming!
  10. The rock 'n' roll bar in Moscow. Special offer on cocktails from Sunday to Thursday - 20 for about 25 euros. Yeah - definitely hungover! Great bar but don't arrive sober: the music, lot's of real rock like Led Zep, is played at full volume all night.
  11. Finally found an excuse to be here - but the zipwire was only in place until September. The party doesn't look too inviting at the moment - so I'm bailing out pdq.
  12. I think you should be referred to a psychiatrist - you appear to be a stalker.
  13. Ah... I see! The 'innocent look' actually belongs to French movie actress named Anna Karina. I've been told I look a lot like her - but probably without the 'innocence'!
  14. If that isn't true - and I strongly suspect it isn't - I sincerely hope he sues the ass off you. Mind you, if everyone did that whenever you made a declaration without any evidence to support it, you'd never get out of the courtroom.
  15. Cheers! I promise I'll do my best!
  16. Endo. You've changed so much. Sorry, I'm a bit hyper. Getting ready for a very long business/pleasure trip - starting with a week in Canada to see my brother and his wife and their kids. Then it's USA, Honduras. Malaysia (scheduled for 4 days in the Park Royal in Penang - bring it on!), then it's Mumbai followed by a few stops in Europe and, hopefully, Christmas in Ireland with my parents. After tonight, I probably won't be posting again on here until some time in the New Year.
  17. Yey! Now we're on to chocolates. It's a new Topic!
  18. I definitely wouldn't go that far!
  19. From what everyone's said about the council, it seems apt that an election to it should be held on Halloween (the sort of time you'd expect the bloodsuckers to be out and about!) N.B. I'm not Manx so I'm allowed to call it 'Halloween' - or even 'Dia das Bruxas' if you prefer
  20. I'm not old, but I'm with Lonan on this one. She's another Disney kid who desperately wants to change her 'wholesome' image and, just like Britney Spears did before her, she's become a parody of sexiness. I actually feel sorry for her because I think she'll have to go through a lot of pain and confusion before - hopefully - she gets herself sorted. P.S. If a man finds that kind of 'performance' sexy', he really should seek professional help. Edited to add: Urgently.
  21. Oh dear, Mr Peters! I suspect a 'regular' may object to your choice of abusive terminology! (I didn't quote in case you want to do a quick edit )
  22. Ordinary asparagus + Cillit Bang?
