  1. is it time to take your meds now?
  2. There's no need to get so emotional. It DOES matter where a soldier comes from. If he's Manx, he should be helped; if he's English, then it's the responsibility of the ENGLISH Government to help him and not the Manx Government. It's like asking the French Government to pay for German soldiers. Get real. The Isle of Man should only help soldiers from the Isle of Man. That is just obvious common sense, and I can't fathom why anyone would be deranged enough to question that. Anyway, I have no doubt that most of the soldiers in the current wars out in the Islamic world think they're doing us a favour, defending freedom, etc. -- because they've been indoctrinated to believe so -- but the fact is that the only people profiting from these wars are the multinational corporations who pushed us into these wars so they could take the natural resources of the Islamic countries and also get massive tax-payer-funded military / weapons contracts from a state of perpetual war. War is big money. Read Major General Smedley Butler's War is a Racket (1935). Butler was one of the most heavily-decorated war HEROES of his time, with TWO medals of honour. Here's a quote from the book: Don't misinterpret what I'm saying here - I'm not attacking soldiers. I'm DEFENDING them. I don't want them to be out there putting their lives at risk just so some asshole corporation can make a load of money. im not emotional..i was just giving you an example of a manx serviceman.I didnt say the isle of man should pay for the uk soldiers,("it doesnt matter where a soldier comes from they are all doing you and your familys a favour so the least you can show is respect!") i was talking generally about individual soldiers not talking about weather or not we should pay for them as well as manx service personnel. The Covenant IS and should be for the manx soldiers
  3. your intitled to your opinion and others are intitled to theirs! however some soldiers are not lucky enough to come out with family, some soldiers have no one so your basically saying they shouldnt even have a chance? other lines of work are admirable also- although they are not being shot at in a war zone in the middle of a desert for most of ther carrea to protect our families
  4. my brother is in the army and was born on the isle of man and still lives here! until anyone has someone in their family or someone close to them in the army they dont have any idea what a young soldier goes through it not only affects them but their familes too...we live in a free society and are terrorist free because soldiers fighting in afghan and its all well you people sat in your cushtie jobs saying that but until you have an idea what you are saying dont comment at all. it doesnt matter where a soldier comes from they are all doing you and your familys a favour so the least you can show is respect!
  5. Just by posting this, you have achieved more that Geoff Corkish has done in his whole political career. You get my vote. ahaha thank you!

  7. Im going to go and revise now...seen as though im 16 years old doing my exams at school; and by reading these comments I obviously need to go and revise my english! :L Im one of quite a few students that thought we would try getting elected to see what happens!!
  8. Curiously, i suspected just this. You took the words right out of my thumbs! Maybe they/she are doing the same social psychology course. There is certainly a sense of familiarity with the composition and syntax... what? i don't know who this befuddled is?....
  9. You can't expect anyone to take you seriously if you think it's acceptable to include those face things in anything you write. It's a sign of supreme dim-wittedness and an inability to articulate. sorry that Im not as boring as some people! I like to put smiley faces in things...could be my age! No. It's your IQ. I have a very high IQ thank you, You must have a high IQ is you can sit criticising mine, although that doesn't really add up because you wouldn't be sat on a manx forums page at half 4 on a tuesday? surely with you high IQ you are in some type of good job?

Best have a rough idea before you start speaking to people and filling the wrong forms in at the wrong time. sorry i meant to put local government elections....shouldve worded it better You are good at rewriting history though so will be ideal. Hate it when people go back and change a post, meaning following posts make little sense.. thank you! but if you read up i said i should of worded it better,so i changed it
