  1. I read last year that plans were being drawn up for a memorial walk. Now it's standing stones that are being talked about (we have standing stones in the Kaye Garden) and also a possible museum. The site has long been associated with entertainment and it should become a place of entertainment again. Many of those who were in Summerland on the night of the fire had been there before. They returned because they enjoyed it so much.
  2. No. I checked that. I went through all the settings.

You shouldn't let that fear stop you dillI - you could always give it a good polish afterwards.
  4. I will pass your comment on to the journalist who wrote the article.
  5. I'm not expecting to make money. I funded it myself. (Just for the record) If one person comes forward to say the book helped them in any way - that will mean more to me than anything.
  6. If they don't they won't come forward. Having it appear in the paper and be talked about publically and online is raking it up for them regardless of whether they "come forward" or not. You could be causing a great deal of fresh pain for selfish reasons. and what are these selfish reasons? I presume you have been in a similar situation to mine - which qualifies you to judge me.
  7. Not worthy of a reply. Actually it is. Or do you fully realise attention seeking drama queen isn't a good enough explanation?. I'm disappointed Gladys didn't understand. I thought she knew me better. Whatever traits I have, marauder - the Manx men seem to like them. I've been asked out numerous times and had a proposal. Good job I'm married already or I might be over there living with you all. Strange response to a question that was never asked. I never realised your self claimed sexual appeal to random men had anything to do with the question Gladys was asking. "How will this bring closure?" "Oh that's easy, the IOM has chubby chasers". Splendid,a full and comprehensive answer. You have to admit that "Irishone's" post was pretty random and invited that sort of response. I am quite random, I will admit that. I'll try to think before I speak in future.

  9. I'm telling you that you are wrong in this instance; and asking you not to judge someone you don't know.
  10. Creative expression and speaking with others about your experience is a good way to manage recurrent episodes of distress caused by childhood trauma. If writing a book and finding answers is Ruth's way of doing that, good luck to her. Simply pretending or forgetting something happened isn't possible if you wake up in the middle of the night having nightmares, etc. You have to get it out, not bottle it up. I've had to "counsel" myself, when I asked for held, no one was listening. Writing things down, I discovered, helped me tremendously.
