Well Rog, God bless you and I mean that most sincerely. Come back soon and don't forget - we always forgive lapsed 'Manxmen' oops, sorry and 'Manxwomen', as long as you sign allegiance to the Island and demonstrate that leaving was a big mistake. That's not going to happen Rog is it?

I bet 'wiki' hadn't even been invented then Rog eh?

Ok finlo, I'll try to make it easier for you. Read back through my posts, not what other contributors have said about my posts, simply what I have actually written. Might help you - is finlo an Irish name?

Of course that was my quote and not finlo's.

Another nice swerve Neil, I'm asking specifically and have been asking you in particular where the legislation can be found dictating that our government currently has any obligation, legallly, morally or otherwise to bail out private pensions. Posting links to general information is no answer, it's simple deflection - smoke and mirrors. I don't care what our superior neighbors do or say, I'm talking specifically about our government and what current legislation is - not what it should be. I'm not annoyed or angry Declan, what makes you think I might be? This is not the real word, it's a forum where personal and political opinions are aired. Where like minded cronies flock together like crows rounding on anyone who demonstrates any opinion contrary to their own collective. Very Manx I guess. I haven't stated that wasting money is a sustainable long term strategy, why do you twist things so Neil? It's funny how assumptions are made in the fantasy keyboard warrior world, I have never given an opinion about the legal or moral responsibilities of our government. I have opinions about the way in which our government should spend 'our' money but please don't make assumptions about what I think. So again, the legislation is where exactly Neil? "Knock yourself out" - what a crass statement.

Again Neil, can you tell me where the legislation is?

I'll bow down to your superior adopted UK judgment on that then Rog, good luck with the 'wiki referenced degree.

That's because we are such a backward small island nation with so much to be grateful for and look up to as far as 'Great British' influence is concerned. I guess you must be so grateful for a new start at a time the island was about to enter the first economic boom in living memory. as for 'Wiki' being objective, what does the noun wiki mean? By definition how can it avoid political subjectivity when anyone can have an input? Are you a Mail reader? I must have missed the boat then Rog. I can see now how endless roundabout politics in the UK made it such a great place to live for everyone and anyone.

Yes, done that Rog, still a very British slant with subjective 'wiki' ammunition.

Surely Tynwald makes the difference between those who want to live in the UK and those who enjoy living here and relish that difference with a hint of playful opposition unless they are major issues that apply to us. Otherwise, why live here. Sorry, apart from you Rog.

Not a stayer then Rog? Does your 'wiki link' refer to Manx legislation at all?

Sorry finlo, got caught up in the real world. Look at page 2 third post, Joe suggests that our government has a moral obligation to do so.

In th UK Rog? Are you based in the UK by any chance? Did you get the boat by any chance? You do realise that Wikipedia is not exactly the bible? Might be good stuff though.
