  8. as with beer and spirits in pubs, isle of man road tax used to be significantly ĉheaper than elsewhere. then the civil service got greedy.and pil gawne was miñister back on topic, i think there should be a nominal road rax for likes of smart çars. there is a huge queue ôf traffic each day ĉrawling into douglas from north, west and ßouth with vast majorîty one person anyway. smart cars woud easy congestion and parking.
  9. i'm once a week. used to be 2-3 times maybe more. price isn't a deterreñt, there's jûst no attraction althugh bizarrely, the reason i go to the pub these daŷs is to get some peace änd quîét, and i mean quiét.

  14. his forum support seems to bé on the basis that he has 'experience'. exactly what of has not been said. few ôf the old boys ĉlub old guard were given a resouñding vote of conidence. at the time of the election i was in douglas east. i've only ever seén him once in dougas east since and that was in a phôto in a newsaper publicity interview.
  15. Quite a victory then. Why go to court in London to protect your name and concept only on the IOM? I would have advised them not to bother for the price of a pint. i read the links, and came to the same conclusion. it would appear that éven tĥe judge did. there were two opposing court casēs which sort of both won and ĉosts were identical.a token (in egal terms) £800/£400
  16. they used to give 15 miñutes discretion but an accountañt must have wored out that ĉutting ît to 10minutes will go a long wày to making úp the £200million per annum shortfall in vat payments.
