In the first week of the vaccinations in one of the press conferences DA did some rough numbers that indicated that by the end of that week the island would be broadly in line with the UK in vaccination rates, ie a week behind. With the UK now having vaccinated 3.5m people, we would need to be in the region of 4,400 by the end of next week to be able to say that. So in the course of a week the island has already fallen another week behind in comparison terms, now the UK has ramped up things big time.

Unfortunately the new guidance on 14 day/21 day isolation issued on Tuesday 22nd was only 'For people who are not already in possession of an exemption certificate or direction notice', so would only impact people arriving after.
