    TT 2022 ??

You’re assuming anyone in charge has any kind of plan or ability to manage!

    TT 2022 ??

Is this your first TT? Parking rules don’t seem to apply this fortnight if you’ve got two wheels.

    TT 2022 ??

    That’s never stopped them before.
  4. Two of the many teaching unions have accepted the offer. Is that ok with you?

    TT 2022 ??

    When are those?
  6. I found it all very useful. It was me pondering about the recent lack of reliability for the London routes and I had been considering other cities and the train. So thank you.
  7. You’re not wrong. I’ve got some flights to book for London and I’m dithering about which airport/airline. Pick City and risk it being cancelled a couple of weeks before, or pick Gatwick and risk sitting in the airport only for it to be cancelled on the day? These are not rare occurrences any more.
  8. And every flight went from Gate Number Eight.
  9. Tell me why not then.
  10. They should open up Victoria Road to Onchan one way, make a lane round the outside of the roundabout. Since the racers use the old bit of the road from Signpost to the Old Road, they don’t need all that width. That would cut Prom traffic right down.

    TT 2022 ??

Even bog standard first aid courses now recommend getting casualties out of harm’s way first. An instructor recently said as @wrighty did, that a severe injury isn’t going to be made worse by pulling them to the side of the road. Is it Dr ABC? Danger first.

    TT 2022 ??

Are the planning meetings any better than they were 25 years ago? Because I sat in one back then and amateur hour was definitely the order of the day. I’m still quite shocked about how poor it was. I’m hoping it’s much improved.
  13. Anything over 41k carries extra responsibilities including management. I suspect anything over around 50k is leadership, ie heads/deputies. I wonder if the advisory teachers are counted in this? They will have an additional wedge.
  14. Ryanair didn’t quite manage this recently. https://simpleflying.com/ryanair-leaves-14-passengers-behind/amp/
  15. I honestly thought the fallout from the 2007 Joey’s crash would end it. But if something that bad - and avoidable - couldn’t end it…
  16. The Glide app in town is linked to your reg plate and you register a card with it. It charges your bank as you leave. You don’t have to do anything more. You don’t get charged processing fees on top. It’s such an easy system. And quite a few of us Manxies already have it on our phones. So of course it’s something too easy for the airport to consider. 17. Hopefully they’ll weed the road when they remove the pedestrian refuge on Glencrutchery Road. Strangely that’s not in the video.
  18. It’s raining again…
  19. Someone should reply with photos of the giant potholes on the non-TT roads.
  20. It won’t quite work like that. The D of Ed sets the number of teachers in a school based on the school population. Somewhere around 25-30 kids per class. Classes are merged if the year groups are smaller than this number. Very small schools share head teachers and don’t have deputies anyway. It’ll make little difference building massive schools.
  21. The Corpy car parks use the Glide app, it would be useful if they used the same one.
