  1. CopyCat is referring to the persons who sell deck chairs on Douglas prom. Think he/she falls in and out of their own coma. Go out for a walk, get some fresh air and think of something factual to post.
  2. If you are paying for the full works make sure they are chartered with RICS and that they have the correct PI cover to provide a written opinion.
  3. Ah yes, a major problem, only 1 sheet left and you have just completed your crap. Well there is a detailed method statement which provides a solution to deal with such a situation... in short...: Get the sheet of loo paper, fold it in half and then half again (you will have a quarter square). Rip off the corner in the central crease (approx 1.5 cm). Put this piece on top of the card board loo roll for safe storage. Open up the sheet of loo paper and you will see a central hole in the middle. Place your middle finger through the hole stand up and wipe your arse with forse inserting your fin
  4. You may struggle getting someone to do the hard stuff if you have had a go at putting the easy stuff together in the first instance. Any professional fitter would not want to inherit problems from a DIY client. Try Kitchen Solutions in Peel, the guy you need to speak to is Jonny Kneen.
  5. Yes if you are going to live by the sword you must die by it. Or was it a gun he had?
  6. Well 3 years on, interest rates have risen and yet property prices are still very strong - when will the slow down start?
  7. I saw her out at the weekend. She is having a great time in his absence!
  8. Points well made! you would pay more for your bread and milk here though.
  9. I usually try and give a positive reponse things however on this occasion i would have to say that they do seem to do sweet FA. I am informed that a lot of the money is spent on PR agencies who fall short on Isle of Man requirements. Also, bringing journalists over and paying large sums of money to get them pissed doesnt always produce the results that our Island nation requires. Should we be engaging someone with pink / purple hair (it could be gold this week?) to be running this department? I think image is important when trying to secure business, both in the Government and private
  10. copycat is doing alright, you have no financial worries.
  11. Yes your right Jim - International! I just feel if it is self supporting itself at the moment on a local level then there must be a hell of a lot more scope for it, and i agree that it would be nice to spread our horizons even though i love the TT. Once again as it hasn't sunk in, I repeat myself... The Parish walk is already promoted as an International event & has had people coming from all over the world to compete in it... Lets look at a few examples among many...... Karen Marie Brogger - Danish Army Tank Mechanic Chris Flint - Policeman from London Charl

  13. He sounds like a complete knob. Who gives a shit if he doesnt take part? Does he think that we are all waiting in anticipation to see how well he does. I hope his wife has some fun with the other people in the room / bed that she is sharing! If he decides to go in the end then that will show how weak he really is. Hope he doesnt shoot me.

  16. If it can sign up 1300 locals, should the Government support this as a national UK event (to attract professional walkers over). After all Sky TV has taken it on board, and it would appear to be a very well supported event! Appologies if this subject has been raised in the past..

    Tt Barriers

Perhaps to leave them there all year they would need a more permanent solution. There are certain black spots where improved safety throughout the year could help day to day motorists. I believe the long therm plan should be to get rid of lamp posts, letter boxes, dodgy grid covers which are still evident at certain black spot areas. I understand a lot has been done, but as speeds on the roads increase then the target moves.
  18. Possible brown field sites Summerland / Derby Castle (Horse tram to work) Victoria Rd (former maisonettes) Victoria Rd Prison for that matter (a year or two off) South Quay (Former Manx Gas Works) Lake Rd, former Douglas Corp / DSSM site (ARE DANDARA TRYING TO GET PLANNING?) Hills Meadow - Knock down the dreadfull looking industrial units and contruct sexy riverside appartments / housing. Former gas works in Onchan (behind Smiths aerospace), not exactly a brownfield site but its not exactly the country and you could fit a lot of houses on there. Possible Government incentives: S
  19. Why not?, it was big news yesterday that the UK home office has announced a shortage of space and the reduction of sentences. Ship a few over here to fill up the empty Victoria Road site when the new prison commes on line? The Isle of Man has a good history of keeping prisioners particularily during times of conflict. It would produce great results for the DTL on visitor numbers.... and perhaps additional income for the dept of home affairs!
  20. Its better to have another bling shop than an empty one. Take Ramsey for example or Port Erin, they could have converted the empy shops into prison cells and save on the new Jurby site.
  21. and they may even have a car park with the new facility !! wey hey...
  22. Albert - really well put, it is tragic what has happened but things need to be left in perspective. My thoughts go out to family and friends involved, and the other spectators who witnessed this accident.
  23. So Busheys has the TT brand, the Villa tent gets you served quicker if you are in urgent need of a beer...
  24. We are fast approaching the end of the week, is it Bushey's or the new one opposite the Villa?
