  1. I had this problem yesterday, change the country code from UK +44 to Isle of Man +44
  2. Got access to a pc? Go to alexa.amazon.co.uk and sign in with your/their amazon account and set up a new device from there. There is also a windows 10 alexa app from the microsoft store.
  3. According to what I heard, the forgotten password feature via email will only work if you gave them an alternative email address when you signed up. Give them a ring and they will issue a temporary password to get you in and then you can change it to something that you prefer.
  4. Yes. Got 1076 emails today and 99% were old ones we had already deleted. It seems that in the change over, all old emails that were sent in the last few weeks / months were resent. Bit of a ball ache deleting them all again, but I still like Manx Telecom and will stay with them. I think their customer service is very good and the pricing OK. No point in change for change sake. It's a complete farce this upgrade, 1000 duplicate emails, hope your not on a limited Gb package, it could effect your monthly data allowance before the month is out. No, we are on unlimited, luckily. The other point is that we cannot get onto our manx.net account as our password no longer works. But I still regard MT as the best we can have so will stay with them. When did you change your password, according to my last post if you changed it recently try your old one.

  6. I'm not a Thunderbird user but iMAP on manx net mail was always pretty screwed up. You had to make sure that the deleted bin on the client was mapped to the deleted bin on the server (not local) for the email to be moved to the server bin so it didn't error. We still speaking English here or what? Mrs Bazcabs phone is on imap and it's not erroring on deleting. I've seen that error lots on iPads using iMap. Check your device for folder settings in email. Look for trash (it usually only has 2 settings) so change it to the other

I'm managing to get in, the problem I have had is getting into other manx net accounts as when I log out and try to log into another account it logs me back into the account I just logged out of. I am having to clear the auto fill password boxes and type in again to make sure I get into the right account
  9. Found a way to get the rule out/ Log into webmail Switch to Tablet Interface Go into Settings Click Forwarder Take out email address Save Means that you will have to go to manx mail to check for emails again but at least they will be delivered now

  11. So those of us that were savvy enough to put an auto-forwarding rule on a email account to another external email account. They have now removed this feature, but it is still in place, ie, there is no way to edit the old rule or add a new one. A test message I sent from a gmail account to a manx net account that should come back to the gmail account works but then I get an auto delivery message saying my manx net account doesn't exist. Figure that one out.
  12. Your between a rock and a hard place. Apple you will have to pay for all the free apps you had on Android Windows don't have the apps you had on Android I went to Windows, it's in the drawer now and I'm back on Android.
  13. I've put it on loads of windows 10 machines. Just download it and run it. It will install fine. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/essentials Go for custom install to remove the extras you don't want.
  14. Vista came installed with Windows Mail which hopefully you upgraded to Windows Live Mail. This is now branded as part of Windows Essentials. MS don't want you to use it but it works just fine on Windows 10
  15. This can work some times, make sure that WLM isn't sending or receiving, go off line if necessary or turn off your internet connection. Hold down the shift key and keep it down, then try to delete the email.
  16. Sort Programs and Features by install date to see what was installed lately, might give you a clue to the name of the program you are looking for.
  17. Anybody having problems in Devices and Printers? Have a batch of Acer laptops (unsupported on Win 10) that are being detected as PC's with PnP monitors instead of Laptops. This causes issues on where to display the output as they think there is a monitor as primary and the laptop screen is a 2nd screen, blank initially. Have managed work arounds to get the display to the correct screen on boot up but only found the wrong category detection today. Think this is the route of the problem. Have also lost the ability to control the brightness of the screen.
  18. Might be a silly question, but when I upgraded on WiManx my username changed, have you checked it's not something like that rather than settings
  19. Didn't last long, bit of looking around in the store and trying the different play apps soon got 'Not available in your country' message and back to free store only
  20. As there is no such thing as unlimited on a mobile connection what amount of data are you using?
  21. Is it directly plugged into a usb socket or on a cable? If on a cable try a different cable
