  1. Why is the clinical director of psychiatry allowed to continue as lead for the department of psychiatry whilst being investigated by the GMC for having a sexual relationship with a patient? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7231657/Married-psychiatrist-58-two-year-romance-patient.html I hear that the person who he gave a job to and who he signed off to become a consultant via article 14 are acting as character witnesses. Conflict of interest?
  2. Peter Karran states that he has evidence of official tampering with files. http://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/health-chief-to-be-questioned-on-official-files/ Unfortunately, due to the sensitive nature of this evidence it will never become available in the public domain. Through a Data Access request I have personally found evidence of social workers lying in their reports and was in a position to prove this as all meetings had been recorded. Not only were the officials concerned guilty of a criminal act by falsifying public records, but there were also many other breaches of the Data Protection Act as well as evidence of manipulation by the workers involved. The 'Department' refused to act on evidence provided to them, official complaints were treated with contempt and disdain. They refuse, despite the legal requirement for them to do so, to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act. Although we have an Office of Data Protection it is, essentially, a toothless tiger. It has no authority to pursue prosecutions of those who breach the Act and no ability to enforce the Act. It is, despite the best efforts of Iain McDonald the Data Protection Supervisor, nothing more than an advisory office. Prosecution of breaches have to be privately pursued - something that should not fall to individuals especially given the circumstances of the majority of those individuals likely to be affected by DHSC 'tampering'. I would encourage any person who has had the misfortune to have had dealings with the DSC especially to submit a Subject Access Request to them. Although you may be disappointed to learn that 90% of the information will be redacted by them with your only recourse to seek a privately funded court decision to have that information released. Whilst many reading this would, understandably, be reluctant to share their experiences - until enough of those affected do share - nothing will change.
