Yesterday,I waited one hour and ten minutes to get through security. Coming back from Dublin five minutes, Gatwick last week seven minutes This problem at Ronaldsway is not uncommon a guest of mine waited for an hour on Sunday flying to Bristol. Here are we a small provincal airport and a total shambles. Even my favourite MHk, Rob Collister has commented on the delays. I had a couple of American visitors behind me who said it was unbelieveable, were we a third world country? Only one X ray machine working, as far as I am aware despite two expensive machines being installed, never more than one has ever been utilised. What image does this provide to visitors, apart from being totally shambolic. Heads should roll, principally the so called Director of the Airports. Get a grip MHK's but will anything ever happen?

Have to wonder - given the dire list of first round candidates for election - whether our revising chamber really is worth the cost, especially in these straitened times when youngsters are being forced to pay to learn, benefits are cut, & the sick are about to fall victim to cuts - sorry prioritisation - by Dave 'Beast' Anderson Looking at those standing for re-election, you have the sorry figure of Juan 'Turd' Turner - a 'yoof' station media mogul who had all the sense to second & vote for the daft student fees proposal, hitting hard those who are presumably his main listeners & therefore his own market Even the one candidate with an electoral mandate is presumably seeking to jump up so's not to have to face the anguish of exposing himself to real voters ever again Ask yourself, what is the point of it in this day and age Better that we have a modern, participative form of government - abolish this anachronism now!
