  1. Scottish Australian musician and actor, Colin Hay, familiar to millions as front-man, songwriter, and vocalist of pop sensation Men At Work ("Down Under," "Overkill," "Who Can It Be Now?"), makes his Isle of Man debut for JonnoPromotions supported by More Music 3FM! He's an artist who is a true master of his craft, over the past 16 years or so, Colin has reinvented himself as a solo artist, regularly selling out theatres and listening rooms across the US and around the world and introducing himself to a new generation of fans in the process. The frequent use of his music in TV and film - including hit shows such as Scrubs (on which he has made several cameo appearances) Army Wives and Modern Family, the hit soundtrack to the film Garden State and the recently released Words and Pictures - has proven the timeless appeal of his songs. A great evening of entertainment in prospect with a short guest opening slot from Manx music maestros Matt Kelly and Paul Rogers - aka Strengyn! Supported by More Music
  2. KEN NICOL will now be performing as Gareth Dunlop has been called away to Hollywood, CA! Ken Nicol makes his debut performance for JonnoPromotions on Sunday 28th September, 2014, at Jabberwocky. Ken Nicol is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer from Preston, in England. His music covers the spectrum from blues to rock, and effortlessly takes in folk, jazz, ragtime, ballads and more along the way. Ralph McTell - “Ken Nicol is a consummate musician. A guitarist of broad scope, a sensitive singer and an intelligent writer of songs with stirring melodies. A musical paragon.” Maddy Prior - “It’s difficult for me to imagine a more talented all rounder than Ken; both as singer and guitarist.” Ashley Hutchings - “Prodigiously talented.” Ken was a member of the legendary Albion Band from 1997 until September 2001 when he left in order to spend more time on other projects. In December 2002, he successfully joined forces with Steeleye Span, working with the band for eight years, most recently on their 2009 40th Anniversary Tour, visiting the USA and Australia. During his time with Steeleye he recorded four albums with the band: ‘They Called Her Babylon’, ‘Winter’, ‘Bloody Men’ and ‘Cogs, Wheels and Lovers’. Ken left the band in 2010. As well as making and producing music, Ken has also worked with guitar makers Fylde guitars to develop the Ken Nicol Signature guitar. Beautifully constructed from cedar and rosewood, its incredible sound led to Acoustic Magazine giving this guitar an unprecedented 99% rating. When he’s not touring or writing, he can be found producing projects of his own and other artists at his MVS Studios in Preston. Guest support from the brilliantly talented Anna Goldsmith. £15 tickets are available from Jabberwocky and also online at http://www.eTickets.im/JP 7pm doors, 8pm show Supported by Arts Council - Isle of Man and Island of Culture 2014 Tickets £15.00 from Jabberwocky and online at http://www.eTickets.im/jp
