  1. Just a thought, what has MT and Sure done to help anyone during these lockdown times? I just seen an advert for EE in the UK and they were offering all medical staff FREE data up until October. I am with Sure and have seen fuck all about helping peeps out during this crisis.
  2. Read this on FB so it must be true but wouldn't it be nice if we could do the same when we latch on to the 3 Network when we go to the UK and just get charged our local IOM rates?! UK RESIDENTS VISITING THE ISLE OF MAN: DO YOU HAVE A THREE SIM? Well, good news! You can now use your THREE simcard in the Isle of Man at no extra cost. From September 2016, the Isle of Man is now included in Three Network's 42 FEEL-AT-HOME DESTINATIONS! (From www.three.co.uk website) Keep on roaming. Use your phone abroad at no extra cost. Now in 42 destinations including USA, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Channel Islands and the ISLE OF MAN! That's more destinations than any other UK mobile network. The last thing you want to worry about on holiday is bill shock when you get home. Three take the panic out of using your phone abroad so you can enjoy the stuff that matters, like posting live tanning updates from your lilo. We can't promise you a totally stress-free trip, but at least with Three* you can switch airplane mode off and keep on roaming. You can enjoy Feel At Home whether you're on Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go, using a tablet, phone, Mobile Wi-Fi or dongle. On all our Pay Monthly plans, except Three Essential plans, you'll automatically use your monthly unit allowance and Add-on unit allowance to call and text the UK and use data, and if you're on Pay As You Go you'll need to convert your Pay As You Go credit into an Add-on to get a unit allowance to fully enjoy Feel At Home. For more information, click here: http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/Feel_At_Home…
  3. Help needed! I have been "upgraded" this week to from the Sure 16Mb ADSL to the Sure 40Mb VDSL service. 2 days have now passed from MT visit and I still have no internet! Contacted Sure help desk last night, have been into store today and contacted help desk again tonight but I am no further forward! Sure have now provided me with 2 sets of settings for the VDSL 40Mb so I am looking for someone with Sure to confirm which works for them, if either are correct! Option 1 ATM settings VPI 0 VCI 38 Encapsulation PPPoE Authentication CHAP Primary DNS Secondary DNS Protocol PPPoE Modulation Type ITU-T 993.2 Option 2 Encapsulation: PTM PPPoE Authentication: CHAP Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: Protocol: Point to point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) Transport protocol – Packet Transfer Mode (PTM) Modulation Type: DMT or Auto Interleaving / Impulse Noise Protection on – default setting Interleaving / INP off – optional VLAN – Off Any pointers would be much appreciated Cheers.
  4. 16 months ago, Manx Telecom posted this: Apparently LTE/4G services are coming. I called them today to ask when/if we can expect 4G/LTE service on the island (outside of Douglas). They didn't know what I was talking about, which I thought was really odd. Does anyone here know when LTE might be coming and which operator is getting it first? Mike (P.S. I did a search for 'LTE' on the forums before posting this post -- no previous posts found).
  5. Is anyone else having issues with Sure Broadband? My internet went just over 2 weeks ago and hasn't been right since. My Netgear routers don't work and a friend of mine is also having problems with his Netgear. I've also had to change to my Billion router and that's only getting 6MBPS. Before it went of i was getting 12MBPS. I've spoken to sure who are "waiting" for Manx Telecom to get back to them.
