  1. We all want greater sovereignty for our island Should we seek to become a part of a more federal UK with a say in it's policy issues - or independent of the UK & more closely aligned with our Gaelic cousins in Scotland & Ireland?
  2. With the boundary changes, I've been wondering recently who is likely to stand for Rushen in the HOK General election. I certainly wont be voting for either of the incumbents who are likely to stand in Rushen. Juan Watterson has developed an arrogance that belies his still relative youth, and Lawrence Skelly is a snake oil salesman of the highest calibre who IMO has his eyes firmly set on the top Job. He certainly isn't the same person that used to drink in the Albert before he was elected. I'm starting to think he might be the IOM's answer to Francis Underwood. You shouldn't change that much as a person in 5 years. Contrary to the general feeling on here I would actually vote for Phil Gawne, but imagine he is likely to be moving to Castletown if he can't wrangle the Presidents job. Not because he displays any real talent, but I think he's as frustrated with the current system as most of the public and in my dealings with him he has come across as being honest. Where do you live and would you vote for the incumbent ? Id hate to have to choose in Onchan if no one decent comes forward and Quirk is the cream of the crop....
