  2. Patsy Matheson returns to the Isle of Man playing her second gig forJonnopromotions.com. This is her first Douglas show, having previously played Peel Centenary Centre and Onchan ... A brilliant songwriter, singer and guitarist who has been compared to Neil Young for her songwriting qualities, Patsy was probably best known for her work as a founder member of the award-winning acoustic quartet Waking The Witch, Patsy, who plays mandolin as well as guitars, had been a successful solo artist for some time before that band was formed, having released two albums, performed solo at Glastonbury and supported top artists including Al Stewart, Christy Moore, the late John Martyn, Gordon Giltrap, Dick Gaughan, Glenn Tilbrook and The Saw Doctors. 3. CHRIS T-T FREE WORKSHOP FOR BANDS AND BAND MEMBERS IN PORT ST MARY SATURDAY 25 JANUARY 2014 11AM - 1PM PART OF ISLAND OF CULTURE 2014 https://www.facebook.com/events/589651941108721/ A JonnoPromotions event supported by Isle of Man Arts Council's Island of Culture 2014 initiative. http://www.iomtoday.co.im/what-s-on/manx-entertainment-news/chris-t-t-to-lead-island-of-culture-music-seminars-1-6376627 Chris is an amazingly gifted singer-songwriter, he's also been in his fair share of bands - currently the Hoodrats, who are rocking out in support of the Tom Robinson Band soon after Chris' visit to the Isle of Man in January. Thanks to IOM Arts Council Island of Culture 2014 funding Chris is going to be spending a bit of time here. He'll be going out to schools and to IOM Soundcheck and offering different workshops for those organisations. This workshop on Saturday 25 January 2014 is intended for any band, working in any genre - here's some ideas of what you'll get: How to build a following / using online tools / how not to get ripped off. Your music video = your calling card. Thinking outside the box. How to manage a band, how to choose a manager, managing the band dynamic ... come along and bring your questions. Chris has been touring solidly for the last decade or so, so there will be plenty of meat to put on the bones of these questions and more! Starting at 11am and finishing by 1pm ... Chris T-T is looking forward to having you there. ADMISSION IS FREE OF CHARGE- however we will ask you to sign in and to complete a very simple questionnaire about your participation in the workshop. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Port-St-Mary-Town-Hall/363249277062377
  4. "One of the most gifted singers and writers in contemporary Blues" Mojo Magazine Ian Siegal has won the following British Blues Awards: Best Male Vocalist 2011 & 2012 & 2013 Best Acoustic Artist 2012 Best Contemporary Blues Album 2013 Best Blues Song 2013 Support act is the wonderful Christy DeHaven. Ian Siegal last played on the Isle of Man in 2007 at the Big Wheel Blues Festival. It was a memorable night as Siegal’s forte is playing to an audience. He takes command of the stage in a way very few artists alive today can match. Sweat, passion, humour, balls-to-the-wind slide guitar and a soul-infused voice big enough to fell trees! It has won him an ever-growing following of fans (and a horde of female admirers). Multiple award winning Blues-man, Ian Siegal will be playing at the Royal Albert Hall in London the night before his forthcoming visit to the Isle of Man.
