I listened to Manx Radio news this morning at nine o’clock as is my wont
The second item ( I’m pretty sure) on the news was a report that a Manx chap now living in London was looking forward to a night out in Peel when he could get back.

I’m sure he is but news headlines F F S

That is my strategy too, sometimes just the 8 o'clock news. Can't stand any of the music, not at that time, and I'm sure the kids listen to their own stuff, BBC Radio1 maybe.

Phew,  relieved. Thought there may have been one of them puppy farms there,  but farming children, and then selling them on Manx Freecycle advertised from a smoke-free, pet-free and kid-free home.

Can't be too careful with all them scams.

Superb plan. Just filling in my government grant application form right now...I’m starting ‘Sprog Prog’...kiddy farming. I’ll sell them as pets. Dog theft is through the roof in UK.

Yes. Especially owners of English Levitating Hounds.

Whereas this may be down to the cops and not MR, wouldn’t it help just a little to know where this ‘incident’ occurred and at what time of day? FFS.

I know,  it always surprises me at how little information is given to the public.  For example, no names of the two charged with covid breaches.  Or appeals for witnesses to "an incident" several weeks ago with no information as to what kind of incident.

In this instance, however, they are just looking for the person pictured.

Didn't catch it myself but I believe that Manx Radio broadcast the wrong news bulletin again last night. Third time in as many weeks ? This is the cost of dumbing down and getting your priorities all wrong. They've been diluting the quality for years to pay for senior and middle management executive salaries, and everything has got worse. Mind-numbing adverts repeated endlessly; a generic playlist aimed at a narrow target audience that isn't even listening; an FM signal that's increasingly as bad as the completely unlistenable AM; a watered-down newsroom and very little proper journalism; very few decent presenters (Every time they wheel George out of retirement the quality shift is immediately palpable); poor quality outside broadcasting etc. They've still not got the T.T. coverage back to the quality of years ago. I could go on...
