RIchard Britten
Saw Lucky Logan at the weekend. Very much a Redneck's Eleven (but then it is from the Ocean's guy). Quite enjoyable.
RIchard Britten
Saw the extended trailer for Bladerunner 2049 and to be honest, I don't think it will do well with "fans" of the original. Far too much "action and explosions" going on for a film that is attached to a film that was more about atmosphere and tension.
quilp
Best not expect too much in the way of comparison to Ridley Scott's direction, I'd say. The atmosphere, tension and mystery he managed to infuse in the first movie would be a hard act to follow. I just hope it hasn't been 'Hollyweirded' by the flash-bang enthusiast's.
Aristotle
Why don’t these film studios come out with something original instead of all these trashy attempts at remakes?
quilp
So which Sc-Fi classics deserve a sequel, or a remake for that matter? Who would be choice of director? Although way ahead of its time in 1927, I'd nominate Fritz Lang's, 'Metropolis'. Years ago I picked up a remastered disc of this, with all the noise and blips removed and was won over to the movie. Maybe Luc Besson at the helm...
Bobbie Bobster
Forbidden planet. Could be worthwhile, could be carnage. Ringworld on Amazon could be good, impossible to do in a movie format without dropping loads of stuff.

The wiki page reveals the movie produced many 'firsts' in sci-fi movie production. Very interesting, well worth a blimp. One for Ridley Scott. Dale Cooper FBI
I watched the original IT mini-series yesterday. Even though it's scary as F, I've always liked it. Especially the childhood half, where the acting and characterisation is so good. How does the new IT shape up? Is it just another terrible remake, adding a bunch of CGI and rubbish acting like the new Star Trek films?
Mr. Sausages
We Ended Up Having To Eat Each Other. It's about some sailors who ended up having to each other. 7/10.

TheTeapot
The Lego Ninjitsu movie isn't as good as the previous Lego films. Just a heads up for half term.
