Town hall has a copy for your perusal, or try on-line at the gov site, should be on there.

If you catch a candidate he/she will have a copy.

First we'll need to examine your policies - what's your stance on:

- The beer price:

- Dog turds (white or otherwise):

- Bylaw Enforcement Officers:

- Traffic Wardens and parking:

- Public transport (integrated transport policy - yes/no/how):

- Sustainability:

- Environment:

- Neighbourhood safety and policing:

- Youth policies:

- Government spending:

- Use of ratepayers money:

- Housing policies:

- Will you call yourself "leader" at some point in your career?

Do you like kittens and fluffy little lambs?

Always important to know these things before voting.

Can someone answer me this. If you want to stand for MLC you need the signature of only one proposer. If you want to stand for a local authority and not get paid for anything you need at least 11 signatures. Who the hell drew those rules up?

You still need the majority of the votes cast.

In Tynwald you need a proposer and a seconder, 1/12 of the electorate.

In Ramsey, for instance, you need one proposer, one seconder and 10 attestors. 1/250 of the electorate.

So to become an MLC you need 20 times as much support just to be nominated

Not so easy.
