guardone 2
Somewhere recently on the web, I came across an old picture, Carte de visite, CDV, by F Johnson who had a photo business based near Douglas Head about 1910. We have some distant ancestors who include this Mr. Johnson, and so would be delighted to see all examples of any of his work, and possibly make an offer for them. I look forward to pictures or private messages. If anyone also thinks he was an ancestor of theirs, we should be pleased to compare notes. Thank you. Guardone
Peter O Connell 0
Hi, I have come across a photo by Fred Johnson. my grandfather, who died in 1917, is in the photo. (Back left with a moustache). Can’t seem to load it I would be very interested to find out a bit more about it. He was a builder, based in Cork, Ireland. He was the main contractor for the Cork International Exhibition in 1902 I was not aware that he had gone to the Isle of Man Regards, Peter O Connell
quilp 10,520
Can you take a photo copy with your phone and reduce/compress the file size? That might work. Be interested to see it...
