Best Place For Sunday Lunch

Recommended Posts

Where?

might it be King Edward Bay (golf club)

is the restaurant called Max ?

Tried it out yesterday following the recommendation on this forums and I must say we quite enjoyed it. It's nice to get some real service, the restaurant is well maintained (and has great views) the food was really tasty and we had an excellent meal.

Definitely will be going again

Why offer the lease on restaurant premises for tender? Isn't the idea that someone invests and establishes a good reputation? Seems very short-sighted.

Has anyone noticed how bad all the H&B offerings have become. Same stuff at all the pubs with no individuality

Get yourself to the Ginger Hall. Food is mighty and an excellent Sunday lunch.

My biggest current gripe is finding somewhere where the roast is not all well done!! It seems everywhere serves their roast well done!! :(

Try The Clubhouse Restaurant at Manx Flyers Aero Club...Roast Beef well known for being nice and 'pink' in the middle.!

If any of you are visiting Liverpool go to Tess Rileys in the city centre, this Sunday had a full roast lamb dinner with all the trimmings followed by a large portion of apple crumble and custard, all for £4.95 I dont know how they do it. :)

I went to the raven - it was ok

Guy from the Raven has moved to Horse and Plough., brought his Thai chefs and menu with him. Horse and Plough used to be awful, now its very much worth a visit !

Is it just me or does the Raven have quite a high turnover of mangers?

Had a fab roast at the Creg a couple of weeks ago.

Had an average one at Views, a previous favourite.
