The Forums Are...?

Recommended Posts

In real life, what would be the nearest thing that resembles these forums?

Is it like a pub?

A private club?

An evening in with mates?

A chat with someone in Strand Street?

A gossip at work?

Is it for over 18s or would happily let your children loose on the forums?

Do you post on here in the same manner that you'd talk in front of strangers in a public place, say?

Just curious

I think it is like a pub and it is nothing like how people really interact in person

Yeah, I would go with pub, when the pub was somewhere to discuss and put the world to rights, argue and spit blood, but go back for more. Very rarely did you ever really dislike someone in a pub based purely on the argument. Most times the main objective was to win someone over to your view, or at least for them to understand where you were coming from. Deffo, the pub for me.

It's exactly like a pub. A friendly chatty environment but with the occasional drunken arsehole ranting and picking fights.

Its like a High Street,

Most of us just pass by now and then, bump into the odd person we know, get in the way of people we don't.

When the shops shut, the lights go out, we all get loud and fancy a punch-up.

I think forums are unique. Most of the people on here wouldn't say half the stuff they do to a total stranger in the pub :)

I would

Everything you say though is bland and uninteresting so it really isn't surprising.
