Coroner Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 Just found this on hte Energy FM website: STATEMENT ON THE CHANGING TIMETABLE FOR TT RACES: 10/6/09 Following a delayed start, the Relentless Supersport TT Race 2 started today 2pm . This will mean that the TTXGP and Senior practice sessions and Sure Sidecar 2 races have all been delayed. It is therefore anticipated that all the crossing points and access corridors around the course will be open between 5 and 6pm, with roads starting to re-open from St Ninian’s at approximately 8.00pm. Members of the public are asked to plan their journeys accordingly, and pedestrians will, where at all possible, be granted permission by marshals and police officers to cross the course at other locations. The following, which are the usual crossing points, will come into operation: • Ballaquayle Road and Ballanard Road, Douglas (St Ninians Cross Roads) • Stoney Road and Tromode Road, Douglas (bottom of Bray Hill) • Peel Road between the Quarterbridge and Braddan Bridge (Jubilee Oak) • Old Church Road (Crosby Cross Roads) and Eyreton Road, Crosby • Barregarrow crossroads, Michael • Station Road and Glen Road, Ballaugh (Ballaugh Bridge) • Sulby Glen crossroads, Lezayre • Albert Square and Princes Road, Ramsey • Signpost Corner and Bedstead Corner, Onchan and Douglas • Governor’s Road and Victoria Road, Onchan and Douglas • Victoria Road and Second and Third Avenue, Douglas In addition the following, new, crossing points have been introduced in this instance: - Saddle Road (Braddan Church) and Snugborough Avenue, Braddan - Old Church Road (Crosby Cross Roads) and Ballavitchel Road, Crosby - Douglas Road Corner and the Emergency Access to Faaie-ny-Cabbal, Kirk Michael - Lheaney Road and Barrule Park, Ramsey - The following arrangements may change, subject to further changing weather condition. Coroner Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I was not listening fully to the radio (Energy FM) but I'm sure that the DoT are planning to start opening the crossing points earlier than stated.
