Shouldn't defectives be replaced with 'learning difficulties'

This topic will now develop as follows

Within:

24 hours drugs are blamed

48 hours newbie/s posting it was a friend/relative and they never used drugs.

72 hours moderator warning on speculation - relatives reading topic etc

7 days + police reveal name

Followed by usual trite sympathies etc

If its who I think it is (was) what will surprise most who knew him is that he managed to live as long as he did

A troubled man, but not short of wit. Made me laugh a few times RIP

^ Likewise!

RIP

Ditto'ed. He was actually a pretty intelligent chap (save, perhaps, his lifestyle choices). At least he'll be meeting quite a few old fiends ...

Well I find it very difficult to have sympathy. He was a man who brought misery and pain to many people and their families over many years by his introductions and was well known for it. Not short of wit maybe but no loss to society believe me. Good riddence.
