A Boring Question About A Bus Route

Recommended Posts

Hello

Sorry to be dull ..... but .......

You know the No1 bus? Does it go, out of Douglas, up past Anagh Coar lights to B&Q roundabout, over and up Richmond Hill, passed Mount Murray, down to Ballasalla then right at the Whitestone pub towards Colby and on to Port Erin?

The reason I ask is that I want to get to the Colby Glen Hotel today and I wasn't sure how best to go about it. I've had a look on the timetables online but I can't satisfy myself that I'm going to end up where I want to be by the best route.

Are there any bus travellers out there who can help? I'm travelling from the Douglas bus station by the way.

Ta muchly

Not dull at all. Quite intriguing actually.

How did Sarah answer you before you'd asked the question?

Now that IS spooky

Fairly sure it goes to the airport and down past the Shore.

ha ha !

reminds me of when my Mum worked in the Douglas air terminal (blue wooden hut then in the 'new' bus station building) and people used to come asking "how do the busses run to the airport ?", and one wag was always wishing he could reply "brum brum brum" !

What a good idea that was-a transport terminal in the middle of Douglas.

Maybe it will come back one of these days.

Lord Street would be a good place to have one.
