John 29
I dropped my external harddrive at the weekend and i would really like to have the data restored. Seems there is a lot off ideas out there, but all I want back are the pictures etc. I would happily pay anyone that can fix it, I have bought another 2 spare EHD and will from now on clone/backup all the time... Can someone help please. I have seen that you can send them away etc, best cost was 200 quid.. but would rather have it done here.
slinkydevil 4,673
Did you get the porn off it? Or is that why you're gutted?

Slim 1,355
I would happily pay anyone that can fix it, I have bought another 2 spare EHD and will from now on clone/backup all the time... What's up with it, does it power up? Is it clicking? Reporting any errors? You might want to consider online backup for your pictures, like picassa, costs me a tenner a year or something, and everythings backed up online and safe.
RamseyGraham 0
I heard/read an ad recently for someone over here who can restore the data from bust drives but I can't remember who it was. Not much help I know. Edited December 21, 2009 by RamseyGraham
jimbms 12
You say it wont work but are you sure its not just the USB/power part of it thats broken, if so you could connect the drive only to an IDE or SATA port on your mainframe to get the data off then just buy a new external caddy for it. John 29
Its very sad when the sheer weight of porn causes your hard drive to crash. Sadly it was the fact I dropped it that caused it to crash/break, nothing to do with the videos of YOUR other half I got from Xhamster.

My mate borrowed my laptop your honour..lol Mine broke a couple of months ago through shear weight of porn fortunately I have a friend who works in IT who managed to retrieve all my photo's and music - unfortunately for you he drives a 4x4 (joking) actually he is on holiday at moment, but if you have no success I will have a word with him when he comes back if you wish
squelch 97
Hope you manage to rescue your photo's. If you store you photo's on Picasa there is a facility to make disc backups of them. Every time you do that it just copies the ones you have added since your previous backup. It is probably best to back up every time just before you erase your memory card.
