DjDan
The Mountain webcam would hardly tell you if the roads are open would it? It is not difficult to have a link on local radio websites etc. that simply states "ROADS OPEN" / "ROADS CLOSED" and automatically updated from Grandstand. As it is however, the radio stations want you to listen to their station, and unfortunately that is the only way.
Tempus Fugit
Or look at the mountain webcam.....Now that is rocket science how would that tell you if a bin wagon has gone over the edge at Ballig or there's a car on its roof in Ballasalla ? I'm not talking about TT course roads closing arrangements, just about people getting about anywhere on this Isle (something like this would do ! )
ballaughbiker
The Mountain webcam would hardly tell you if the roads are open would it? Eh? Cars going past = roads open or maybe cars not going past = roads closed. Of course a bit of lateral thought is required as the course may not be open ahead of the mountain but that will amount to 5 mins max. TF no it won't tell you a car is on its roof in Ballasalla but I perceived the main problem most people were carping on about was if the TT course being open/shut. VikingRaider
Go to Clickie There are currently 2 webcams showing Parliament Square in Ramsey. If thats open so is everything before it on the course. The mountain road opens one hour later. But the section after the mountain road to the finish opens just after Ramsey does.
DjDan
Thanks for that. Wouldn't it be nice if they had a cam at the Grandstand... (or do they?)
Pierrot Lunaire
I heard on the radio that the road is closed in Ballasalla. Any one know if you can get past the Whitestone to get back on the main road? As I need to get to the airport.

bradda beast
you would be better going down ballamodha straight and in to castletown and then to the airport. Ballasalla is real slow going

Incidents involving white dog shit are rare on the island - fortunately.
Amadeus
Just 20 minutes after the TT mountain road reopens it closes again due to a road traffic crash http://twitter.com/paulmoulton
