is there Scottish dance classes still going on in Ramsey or on the isle?

Any details would be very welcome.

Just started Manx dancing too, great fun.

cheers.

Not sure - have you looked in The Indie's Gig Guide? There's Irish Set dancing in Douglas Thursday nights - that's even better!

Yes - I saw a poster about it in a Ramsey shop window last weekend. Try windows on Parliament street.

There is an Irish step dance school but I don't know if they take adults. Good school though - they win prizes in Ireland.

I came across this which may or may not be current:

The Ramsey Scottish Dance Group, Ramsey, Isle of Man

We meet on Thursday evenings from 7.30p.m. - 9.30 p.m. with a short break in the middle, at St. Olaves Hall in Ramsey. Our term starts on the 2nd Thursday in September and we finish the following Easter, so there is a long break in the summer.

Our group number between 11 or 12 to 15 or 16, so we are very small. This group is not connected to the RSCDS, although at one time we were. The club goes back about 20 or 25 years.

For more information contact Sheila on (01624)812843, or Pauline at (01624) 817610.
