The Cooish Festival is a celebration of Gaelic language, music and identity on the Isle of Man from the 13-20 November. This year's event offers opportunities to develop your Manx language skills and listen to authentic Celtic music at venues around the island. The week long festival is organised by the Manx Language Society. This year's lecture will be delivered by world expert on Australian indigenous languages, Dr Rob Amery. Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich, will headline at the festival's final concert in the Centenary Centre in Peel on Saturday 20 November at 8pm. Ó Beaglaoich, is a well known performer of Irish traditional music on the button accordion. He will perform alongside former Boys of the Lough member, Malcolm Stitt.
