Copy N Paste?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I need to copy my bank statement and put it in a document ( I have Word) and then email it.

I have tried copy and pasting but the recipient said they can't read it

My "print screen" doesnt work

I know there is another way cos I have done it before but can't remember

Its just getting it onto Word that I need help with..... I am ok with attaching the file

Soz for posting this here but I thought it would get noticed quicker on this board

Thanks in advance

Please Help!

Are you looking at your statement online?

Press PrtScn and just paste into your word doc

If you have Office 2010 then Windows key + S will allow you to snip a part of the screen and put it into the Clipboard or OneNote.

If you're using Office 2007 or Office 2010 on a PC it could be that the document is being saved as a .docx file that can't be read by previous versions of office.

try clicking the office button at the top left, scroll down to "save as" and choose "Word 97-2003 document"

Is this an online statement or a paper statement?

Scan, attach file then email?

P.S Microsoft Word is part of Microsoft office suite....... Are you using Microsoft Works?

I've never heard of anyone having a broken print screen key either as its a rarely used key?

Do you have the "F lock" key pressed on so it won't work?

Just tell me your account number, sort code and mother's maiden name and I'll sort it out for you.

Print Screen probably is working, it just wont paste into your word document. Use the 'Paint' program and paste it into there. Remember to save it as a .jpg rather than the usual default .bmp format.

'Ctrl' & 'Prtscn' at the same time > Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint > Edit > 'Paste'
