I find bread smeared in superglue works the best.............. they dont seem to come back...... mind you there is still a foot stuck to the roof tile but the others soon ate most of him once he perished but did have to get the ladder out to clear the carcass from the downspout

I hope the wildlife police unit read your post.

Can you get a recording of a distressed gull that you can play at high volume to scare it away? Works with Rooks (with a recording of a distressed Rook, obviously)

 

This is a good idea. Airfields have vehicles with loudspeakers attached that play the calls of larger birds and birds of prey to scare birds away from the airfield.

 

Although not sure if you'd want the sound of a distressed seagull screaming its nuts off at top blast coming from your house day and night.

He was only looking for a bite imo, same as LDV with the sparrows thingy, he got one aswell.

 

No-one in their right mind would be so cruel really.
