Passport Office

Recommended Posts

I've heard a couple of people complain recently that the Passport Office has stitched them up by telling them they would have their passports by such and such a date even if they didn't pay for the "tast track" service, only to find later they have to stump up for the fast track service after all (on top of the normal fee). Anyone else had this experience?

Think we are about to. Promised to have them out in post last week after they contacted us for more info and still waiting.

When did you put your application in?

Same as Piebaps. Took mine in, in February (expires September this year). Had new photos done at Keigs, poppped into the Passport office, filled in form there, handed all with old passport and large payment to a nice polite man at counter. Not fast track. Did that in less than an hour. 7 days later new passport in post. Pleased to see it expires in a September. I believe that it is easier to take old Passport etc into the Office then if they do have any queries they can be answered then.

Same here. And I took the form and the old one into the office Grandma. The impression I get is they've had no customer service training and this rather delays matters.
