Gas Price Going Up Again

Just in time so the scumbags can squeeze another rise after this one and before the winter starts - Natural Gas up 2.5%, LPG up 8% from 01 August.

The useless OFT will do nothing again and our politicians being so nice and cosy with these island-milking dirtbags means that won't change anytime soon - can't upset your friends now, can you?

So, prepare for another blow before the winter & of course the obligatory round of bullshit from the MEA, too. Happy times ahead...

Get real will you for Gods sake!

It'll be 25%

And Manx Gas, the MEA and the Water have been making savings and cut backs where? We all have to, why the feck do they think they should be immune.

Shut the MEA shops - NOW

Abandon any further ideas of pumping shit up hill in the form of IRIS

Manx Gas - stop sponsoring - we get NOTHING in return.

And the reason why nothing will be done is because Manx Gas is bankrolled by the tax payer through the MEA being kind enough to pay for a lovely new yellow pipe. We are subsidising Manx Gas by the tune of tens of millions so they can stuff us all. Thats the problem and yes I agree that they should close those bloody shops...oooops oh dear Brown has an interest in electrical goods supply though, I forgot about that and he has been one of the main supporters to keep em open.Numbpty that he is. We all have a good old moan about the MEA but its not down to the current staff the problems are all down to a small few. Alan Bell, Mary Willaimson, and Cocco the Clown, nobody else in the picture all down to them 3 and a cover up. The current management have tried their best to turn things around but when you have been left a pile of shit you can't do much with it. Since the loan scandal there have been safety measures put in place to prevent it happening again, that in itself suggests that something was untoward but nobody has been hung out to dry..they haven't even tried to blame some dimwit officer in the Treasury. If that had of been a member of staff who had made a balls up in one of the shops and the till was a tenner short, they would have been sacked. Same rules..same rules.

And you can bet that come the end of the financial year their profits will be up yet again!

The increase has fook all to do with rising fuel costs and everything to do with giving themselves a 6% payrise (so I heard)

First of all the price of gas in the UK was always lower than the Isle of Man,same as the electricity,so any rises with their duel fuel contracts were a sight lower than here, the complaints across were that wholesale gas prices have been dropping for the last two years,so why put the retail up?,here they seem to always buy, that is the MEA,at the highest rate, somebody should sack their buyer, anybody can buy things at top prices, the knack is to buy at a cheap one.

Government here is asking that the population tightens it's belt in these times of restraint, well it looks as if a lot of people will either not switch their heating on,or can't pay their bills and be cut off.

Lets be fair yes but, last February Manx Gas put their prices, but the utilities across didn't,they only said prices will have to go up sometime in the future, and now it has happened in the UK,BUT this lot have jumped on the backs of that one with another rise,so total up both ones here percentage wise.

Manx Gas on MR this morning said they were buying at a price, but cannot store large volumes,so they have to buy at whatever price it was at the time,I thought it was the MEA which bought the gas, they then sell it on to Manx Gas,so it is the Government who buy the gas at the wholesale price of what 40/50p and sell it to Manx Gas at 80p??,then to us at a reported £1.61p or more,so who is cleaning up?.

I'm sure waiting for a reply from the Office of Unfair Trading on these figures, right away would be fine, not in 2 years time, like the last one.
