1 Way Over The Mountain......

Recommended Posts

Supposedly a couple of days ago (off near the end of the clip):

And it's one, two, three,

What are we biking for ?

Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,

Next stop is the Isle Of Man;

And it's five, six, seven,

Open up the pearly gates,

Well there ain't no time to wonder why,

Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Come on mothers throughout the land,

Pack your boys off to the Isle Of Man.

Come on fathers, and don't hesitate

To send your sons off before it's too late.

And you can be the first ones in your block

To have your boy come home in a box.

I wonder if a better alternative to the mountain road being one way was if it was made two way but with a no overtaking rule and an unbroken line of cones (except for at the junctions) to ensure this rule was unbroken?

It would slow down anyone tempted to ride or drive too quickly as they'd know if they were going too fast and the vehicle infront wasn't moving as quickly as they were then they'd have nowhere to go - instead the two lane mountain road one way seems to send the message that it's been made one way especially so that certain individuals can use it as a racetrack... Ok it means that traffic would move at the speed of the slowest vehicle (?maybe have a minimum speed limit as well as a maximum one upon it?), but would the journey times really be increased as far as getting from the South to North as compared to taking the alternative routes?....
