I hope they remember to check/ replace the little reflectors on the side of the road.This would be quite cheap.

The coke and beer cans, takeaway tubs etc. make pretty good road edge markers

I just tried to go to Ramsey and it appears the mountain road is closed until the 23 April. Annoying. For an event that only encroaches on us for two weeks of the year, it doesn't half seem to encroach on us for a lot more than two weeks per year.

Great for the rest of the Island though. May just keep some of those northerners in the north. More time for them to raise money for the precious courthouse!

It's part of the DoI's "Don't cut our budget" strategy. They purposely close important roads for large periods of time because they can, and then go "Well, if you cut our budget they'll be shut for longer"

maybe the crashes per month by eejit drivers is above average so they are trying to level it out over the year so that it doesn't look bad
