Car also makes a massive difference.  80 in a Ford Focus or Fiesta isn't like 80 in a high performance purpose built sports car.

The handling of which surpasses most so called super cars.

Expect better from you on this. You like driving fast and think you should be allowed to go for it ‘if it’s safe for you’. So do I actually, but in an attempt to follow Spock’s principle that the need

During lockdown I didn’t mind the trip over the mountain at 40mph with no overtaking. It was quite relaxing and took perhaps 5 minutes longer than usual.    Now, if I come upon a lorry doing 40

Looks like a Fiesta ST. They handle great and aren't absurdly powerful.

Plenty good at 80mph. You know that's standard motorway speed right? It's only really econoboxes that are crap handling at 80mph these days.

EDIT: To caveat slightly, the best handling car is only as good as the rubber you put on it. Put a budget enough set of ditch-finders on any car and you'll get in trouble at significantly lower speed than the car would ordinarily handle comfortably.
