The UK introduces a new regime for work place pensions for those employed in the private sector to ensure that it is less likely that somebody has no pension provision in their old age: and 5 MHK's don't pay into their statutory government scheme. They are two completely different things that are not even vaguely related.

 

What is the link here?

And the fees always come out of these funds with priority. The Tories are repaying their financial friends with this one. MHKs should be contributing to their own pensions though.

Will those that don't contribute get less back than those that do?

Will that be less than than they would have before the voluntary contributions came in?

Are those that do contribute getting more back than they otherwise would have?

Jim, the scheme rules are published on the Tynwald website. The scheme benefits are the same no matter what you put in.
