Ees not a rat, Mr Fawlty!

Ringies

Personally I prefer "Quare Fellas".

Our cat despatches rats on a phenomonal scale. I have a picture of one big bugger that dwarfs the packet of fags I put along side for scale. His best night was two rats, one mouse and four shrews (felt a bit for the little shrews). He likes them apart from the head and alimentary canal!

I call them rats.

I wouldn't call the one i saw yesterday anything ! as it was massive ! the size of a bloody cat, it was coming down the lane between the betting shop and the empty new shop by St Pauls church in Ramsey !

and it was in the middle of the day !!

my kids have had hamsters, essentially their the same as the ringies but without a tail (hamsters that is), people have no problem playing with hamsters, gerbils, pet mice and others etc so its hard to work out why they find their wild cousins so awful.

For me it would be the disease and living in filth that would put me off hugging a "wild" rat.
