Manx Radio And The Interlopers

Recommended Posts

For Pete's sake man. Manx Radio IS not covering it. As IT likes to call ITSELF. It's not too late for IT to change ITS mind. At least keep your grammar respectable.

I mean, if someone were to have difficulty telling the difference between singular and plural, they might well be sacked from their newsroom post and, when they react badly to that, would then probably have to be escorted from the building. And there's no telling what sort of bad reputation they'd then accumulate when they appear on internet forums badmouthing their former employer in a transparently obvious way. If it built up to such an extent they were considered dangerous, it could even end up with the police being called when they park near their former place of business. Or even their former colleagues logging every phone call they make to their former employer with "helpful" tipoffs. It would probably mean the end of their journalism career and moving into something like a company director or secretary at a professional freelance contract firm.

And that, lemme tell ya, would be pretty hellish.

? er? er? WHAT? !! I'm obviously missing something with this post.

Go-on.....give us a clue.

Simple fact - Google radio stations and you'll find millions you can listen to. You can find every kind of content you want, every kind of music - and two local stations are absolutely no different fr

Why don't energy and 3fm just pack up - they're both a load of shite anyway - and leave the advertising revenue for MR?

I'd be worried if I was Stu. RB and JT might want a piece of his coffee shop action and want to introduce their own coffee shops into his business. The theoretical and tongue-in-cheek RBJT propos

You can't help it Sentience, you're clueless anyway. If you have difficulties in understanding long paragraphs just do your usual pointless 'get a life' comment - seems to be your limit.

Apparently only once in Manx Radios long bland history an employee fell out with the management and after harsh and unjust treatment he probably got rather frustrated and called them all cock suckers and this means that any criticism against the output is solely down to an embittered ex employee rather than any taxpayers who fund this nonsense.

It was much worse than that I'm afraid, and Manx Radio wasn't the only place where this individual became persona non grata

Also, is mobile mike related to Ann Reynolds by any chance?

My guess Donald is that its with the Select Committee who commissioned it. According to the news release when they appointed Myers, it will form part of their final report http://radiotoday.co.uk/2013/05/myers-to-undertake-a-review-of-manx-radio/

Why not email the committee and ask? The contact details are here http://www.tynwald.org.im/business/committee/PSB/Pages/default.aspx

There have been more reports, reviews, consultations and God knows what on Manx Radio than just about anything else. I wonder what this one is going to come out with that hasn't been scrutinised, analysed, hung drawn and quartered a hundred times before.

Try picking a Department - any Department - and put it under just a tenth of the independent scrutiny that Manx Radio has been subjected to...

The Government won't do it and certainly Bell won't sanction such a move. It would put the Isle of Man under a spot light that would have Westminster pissing itself laughing or something, at the huge waste/handout of our grandiose Government gravy train.

Toot, toot!

True but most government departments do things that government should be involved in, I don't see why our taxes should go in royalties to ace of bass.
