Vulgarian 1,149
This thread is fucking gold lol
ade 3
I couldn't disagree more with censorship - or declan for that matter. I think that Derek Richardson is in exactly the right time slot on 3FM. Inoffensive, pleasant and polite, he makes for a good DJ to chill to on a weekend morning. As for the creative media website , what's wrong with projecting a sense of fun and enjoyment of the workplace to people on your website? The only thing I thought when reading the staff profiles was that it sounds like an enjoyable place to work and that if I needed some creative media company to help me then I think I'd rather choose a company like this that comes across as far more 'human' than some faceless corporate.
Slackbladder 9
Is step 2, bump the thread, in such a way that your company becomes the centre of attention? Nope - step 2 is to remember that when you've had a couple of beers, it probably is best not to get drawn back into the dark, murky backwaters of Manx Forums! Brian? Brian! lol....

Mission 1,108
So if Brian isn't real, who's the dude that makes the tea? What about biscuits, who does the biscuit run and what type of biscuit do creative types prefer to dunk (or not) in their tea? SO many questions, this thread could run and run... censorship 1,683
Jeez - what a knob head! lmfao! http://www.homestrategic.com/who-are-we#derek-richardson This is the face of things to come- a portfolio of jobs. Good God! That's the website from hell. I don't think I'd be keen on a hiring a PR company that presented its staff that way. How very professional. Mental note to self - never, ever use Home Strategic, as it appears they don't take criticism well.
censorship 1,683
Actually, Home Strategic grew from nothing to ultimately employ 25 local people (yep, all Manx Residents) in theirspecific areas. They are all fully employed - working with over 150 local companies. The company also brings in over 50% of its turnover from off Island. All of which contributes to our amazing Island - and its economy. Yet you have the gall to sit there and slag it off. What have you done? Other than sit behind your ridiculous alter ego? Yep, that's right...sweet FA! If you employ 25 'local' people, why are only 21 on your website. Have the digital experts failed to keep their site up to date, or can't you count? j2bad 896
The other 4 are probably a double count of the staff that work for the completely independent and 'only specialised Isle of Man market research agency' when they have that hat on.
Slackbladder 9
If you employ 25 'local' people, why are only 21 on your website. Have the digital experts failed to keep their site up to date, or can't you count? Perhaps we're just a little busy - which is why we have recently taken on 4 new people. I can just about manage to count to 25. Not interested in another slagging match (although our first 'run in' was actually quite enjoyable) - If you're looking for an agency, there are plenty out there that will tell you what you want to hear and blow smoke into places that are generally best left covered. We'll just carry on doing what we do - and if there's a tiny bit of personality involved, so be it. Unfortunately, if I don't like the tone of anyone's ramblings in this forum, I can't then choose not to do business with them - the price of openness. My initial response was a tad flippant, and probably not very well thought through - in my defense, it was my 'beer night'. And, whilst maybe not actually laughing my behind off, I did find it all rather amusing. And anyway, I thought flippancy was a prerequisite here? Have a good double bank holiday weekend. Oh look, you used a winking smiley... how sweet! I didn't realise that you weren't allowed to work for more than one company - I'll have to resign from the other companies I work for then? <I would insert a little 'crying' smiley in here, but don't know how>
